86-65 final. Not a great game but glad we could still blow out a bad team. We now have a tough stretch of road games where we will have to play better to win. Saturday starts that against Princeton

I liked the new uni look. Not sure if they're gray or it was just how they looked on Flosports. Other angles they looked black (which I hope they are)..

I too liked the new uniforms. They are gray. I like the script front, but I'd rather that it read Drexel, instead of Dragons. Not sure what their plans are to use them. They already have so many different varieties of uniforms.

Back to the game, I think we should all be happy with the outcome. I was a bit annoyed when FDU got to within 3 as they had so many opportunities to break it open early. But they really turned it on late in the 2nd half, and the result showed a dominating win.

Not sure if it was mentioned on the broadcast, but I noticed that Coach Herenda was not there tonight for FDU, and Pete Lappas (Steve Lappas's son) was filling in as head coach. Not sure what his height was, but I noticed that when Pete was standing up, he wasn't much taller than some of his players were sitting down.

Those 30 second timeout huddles were amusing!

He was a ball of energy thats for sure.

As I said I like the script and idea, didnt like the grey. From the broadcast they looked blue until the cameras got closer to the players and they were clearly a dark grey. If they switched it to Drexel instead of Dragons, I would be fine with that too. Since we are on the topic on unis, I am always a fan of wearing your team colors at home versus wearing white. So I dont mind the gold ones and would mind if we went blue at home. But I think we should stick to our colors. No black or grey. We arent Towson or others. Just my take.

And yes the outcome was nice. The main takeaway from me is that when we were cold we were not afraid to still shoot. Despite a lot of turnovers, we stayed focused and were still able to pull away and beat a bad team. In the past that was not always the case. If things dint go great we tended to collapse and really struggle with bad teams, so it was refreshing that we could pull away from a bad team while not playing anywhere near our best or cleanest ball. We will have to paly better than last night if we are going to beat Princeton

i wanted the uniform to say drexel too until i realized dragons is written essentially the same as the chunichi dragons in japanese baseball. tom selleck played for that team in mr. baseball. only difference is the s doesn't underline the whole word in our uniform.

I tried to look Pete up as a player but apparently he was too short to play college basketball. He graduated from BC in 2012, but he's not listed on any of their rosters from that era. I'm guessing that he their team manager as a student. He's a guy who was born with basketball coaching blood, but not basketball height. I saw that he was a video coordinator for Temple after graduation, so he's working his way through the coaching ranks. Good for him.

I like the use of "Dragons" on the unis and lke the script used. We're the only Dragons in D-I and it makes the use unique (as opposed to the ubiquitous "Wildcats," "Knights," "Bulldogs," etc. Makes it stands out more from using the institution name.
