I think in his feeble mind and that of his handlers, this is one way to force their "green new" garbage deal on Americans. If it destroys the economy, causes further inflation, and hits the wallets of every American they don't care. Nancy can eat her overpriced ice cream out of her $25k freezer, Spongebrain Sh*tpants doesn't care, and crazy eyes AOC can imagine a world without cow farts and working Americans.
