Rice 17
Tulane 42
SMU 68

UAB 147. (For comparison in state, AU 99)

Are we looking at the same link? I see Auburn at #635. #99 is the University of Arizona. As to in state, Alabama is #470 and UA Huntsville is 922.

Given that the six added to the AAC were all R1 or R2 schools, except for Rice who is AAU, I suspect that the passed over C-USA and Belt schools might think that it was pretty darn relevant.

UAB is not rated higher than Auburn unless you use some klopstockian third world method and certainly not higher that Tulane Smu or Rice.

Is this the kind if crap we are going to have to put up with from you Bham mental midgets?

https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/ran...versities.

Hell UAB is not even the best college in Birmingham.

You can't even provide a proper working link and yet you have the nerves to call someone a mental midget?

Whether it's World or US rankings one thing is for sure, Memphis doesn't rank high in either one. It's time for you to retire and cash in those rep points.

Shere is more harsh than I would be, lol. I could be wrong, but I think I understand what he is saying. US News' ranking seems to have a conflict going on with UAB and Auburn.

In their National ranking Auburn is tied at #99 and UAB is tied at #148.

https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/ran...University

https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/ran...Birmingham

Somehow in their global ranking UAB is #147 and Auburn drops to a tie at #635.

https://www.usnews.com/education/best-gl...ham-100663

https://www.usnews.com/education/best-gl...ity-100858

So for me it's not a knock on UAB, but on US News. How did UAB move up (even if it's one spot) when adding in global universities? And even worse why is there such a discrepancy on a school like Auburn when they were ranked higher than other schools nationally?

Former Tulane QB and Super Bowl champion @Griffin_11 confirms @Tulane is moving to a more restrictive model for admitting athletes.

He asks President @TUFitts to reconsider, joining a chorus of former Green Wave players today:

Condemns the program. May as well leave the AAC and drop down to FCS. Must be a good academic fit down there for Tulane.

It's less of an issue in hoops than in football - where it is a death sentence.

Plenty of blowback from the athletic side, but this school is full of people that are elitist snobs that bitterly hate athletes.

Tulane would be great at athletics if we just ran the athletics side like LSU does.

Good. Maybe we can now win a game occasionally in our new conference.
