Glad you’re looking forward to it
Any good places to stay and eat before the game?
Lafayette has zero good places to eat before the game. You should particularly avoid the UL tailgate, the food is absolutely abhorrent and so are our fans.

I hear Prejeans serves some good frozen entrees. The asphalt tailgating area isn't that hot before the game. And that your crawdads are imported from china. Our players should feel at home cause most of them played in a hole in the ground high school. /s
On a side note can I suggest for our series we play home, away, and then superdome? It would hack Tulane off to have a higher attendance than them.
Good news, only the RV's tailgate on the asphalt. Pretty much everyone else is on grass.
Wouldn't be opposed to a game in the Dome, I just wish there would be a way of knowing that neither team would be in the NO bowl that year. It would be weird to play a conference game there in late October or November and then come back like a month later for a bowl game. I would never miss any of those games, but the fickle, casual fans would probably get burnt out on too many NO trips.

Always looked forward to visiting Boone. Was disappointed when the USM / App game was canceled a couple years back b/c of hurricane. Lots of fun trips to look forward to and some damn good football.

I think it would be great if each team updated their section in the ‘transportation and local interests’ thread located in the top part of the board. You know, places to, eat, sleep, music venues, etc. It needs updating anyway and esp now with all the newbies coming on board.

3 of us are headed there (finally!) next year. Can’t wait. Beautiful area.

We’ll only agree to this if the fourth yea we can both drive out of our way and play in Shreveport in Independence stadium the same weekend Tech has a home game.

Good one, I presume you speak of the magic waters flowing by the practice field?
(Which have obviously been polluted with effluent of hand sanitizer this year)
However, Eagle Creek is also a pretty nice microbrewery near downtown
