Tech balked. In the meantime, Silicon in dire financial straits jumps the gun and invites Fresno, so Tech has to be placed in Boise and Boise State and MTSU get left out of bowls as Michigan State goes to San Jose and Clemson goes to Boise.

That boys and girls is how Boise last missed a bowl game, screwed over by a conference mate.

2012: SBC has 3 tie ins: Mobile, Nola, and Detroit. AState beats MTSU to win the league. ULL, WKU, and ULM all finish bowl eligible SEC and Big 12 look likely to short the Liberty Bowl and Independence Bowl is short both teams. SBC starts looking to find a way to place all 5 in bowls. SBC starts working on a deal to send AState to the Liberty Bowl, which would allow MTSU and WKU to take Mobile and Detroit and ULL to take Nola. Independence Bowl wants ULM and wants them to play La Tech

La Tech however really wants to play in the Liberty Bowl themselves (instead of AState) and tells the I bowl that they won't accept the invite just yet and if they do, they won't play ULM

Last week of the season, Iowa State gets Bowl Eligible in an upset and fills Liberty Bowl taking AState's spot and sending us to Mobile. Cyclones won't play Tech though and instead Tulsa takes the spot.

Tech tries to call the I Bowl back to take the spot, I bowl says, sorry we invited Ohio instead. La Tech sits at home with 8 wins, as does Middle Tennessee.

They still refer to the Sun Belt Conference as "the Belch" on BB&B. They are just way too good for the Belt, at least in their own minds. One of their morons said they belong in the SEC. They have burned bridges with the older belt members too many times.

All I know is they wanted separation. Well they got it and I hope the SBC takes its foot and shoves their little boat out further in the deep water. They don't deserve a rope from us. Does that sound harsh? If not I can do better.

Yep! I’m trying real hard not let 2-3 of their posters speak for their school/fans but it is difficult. Really difficult.
