My wife has suffered from psoriatic arthritis and CBD has helped her joint pain significantly without having to go to serious pharmaceuticals with numerous potential harmful side effects. But then she never had used any cannabis of any kind prior so perhaps tolerance is a problem for those who have.
I only know how much it has helped her to continue sewing and working with her hands. So I'd say it has been tremendously positive for her.
Wow… It’s nice to hear of that stuff is helping someone.
I have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, gout and Lupus. I tried CBD multiple times without success. I tried the oil and the gummies. Each time I told the clerk at the place I bought them, it was always “you need to take more”.
My primary care doc tried Meloxicam, Mobic, Celebrex, among others. My RA doc once prescribed 100 Prednisone a month. Finally an ER doc gave me Tramadol for an injury and it helped my pain. I told my primary care doc and he prescribed Hydrocodone…. 4 per day. This process took 5 years, from 2013 - 2018.
When I retired my neurologist suggested I try cannabis. It has been a God send. Since the Republican controlled state legislature chooses to keep medical marijuana illegal here in Kentucky (Bourbon lobby is against it), I have joined a growers network with members throughout Kentucky and West Virginia. We trade seeds and smoke.
Our members have MS, RA, Neuropathy, Cancer. We are much like the Dallas Buyers Club. Since many of us no longer work, everything is free.
We have legislation going through Frankfort now looking to legalize medical. Unfortunately when government gets involved, money gets involved. We plan on continuing to help each other.
