No one is coming for your guns!
That's what the left has been saying for years now, right?

BULLSHITE.

Maybe they aren't actually coming for them but why should they if they can simply render them virtually inoperable?

ATF Proposed Rule 2021R-05

Keep in mind that none of this is being done legislatively...

RE: No one is coming for your guns!
Quote:A White House Fact Sheet previewing President Joe Biden’s Wednesday afternoon speech suggests he will announce increased overwatch of Federal Firearms License holders (FFLs) as part of his response to surging crime.

According to the White House, Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) “is announcing a new policy to underscore zero tolerance for willful violations of the law by [FFLs] that put public safety at risk.”

What the new policy means in real terms:

Absent extraordinary circumstances that would need to be justified to the Director, ATF will seek to revoke the licenses of dealers the first time that they violate federal law by willfully 1) transferring a firearm to a prohibited person, 2) failing to run a required background check, 3) falsifying records, such as a firearms transaction form, 4) failing to respond to an ATF tracing request, or 5) refusing to permit ATF to conduct an inspection in violation of the law.

The White House Fact Sheet notes, “ATF will notify every firearms dealer whose license is revoked about how to lawfully transfer any remaining inventory, as well as the potential criminal consequences of continuing to engage in the business of buying and selling guns without a license. The prior Administration stopped this important notification practice that helps deter future unlawful activity.”

Over 300 people have been killed in Chicago year-to-date and, as of June 3, 2021, murder in Los Angeles County was up 95 percent over where it was at that same time in 2020.

Chicago is located in a state with a red flag law, a 72-hour waiting period on gun purchases, and a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card requirement. Additionally, the county in which Chicago is located has an “assault weapons” ban.

Los Angeles County is located in a state with all the same controls mentioned re: Chicago, plus a “high capacity” magazine ban, universal background checks, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, gun registration requirements, a limit on the number of guns a law-abiding citizen can buy each month, and controls on ammunition, among other things.

The gun control are not stopping crime so the Biden Administration is focusing on licensed gun dealers.

Quote:President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Tuesday that it will launch “firearms trafficking strike forces” in the Democrat-controlled cities of Chicago, D.C., L.A., New York, and San Francisco.

The Washington Examiner noted the DOJ said the strike forces will launch “within 30 days.”

In a DOJ statement, Attorney General Merrick Garland said:

Working with our local partners to tackle violent crime is one of the Justice Department’s most important responsibilities. Today, the department is taking another concrete step to address violent crime and illegal firearms trafficking. Our firearms trafficking strike forces will investigate and disrupt the networks that channel crime guns into our communities with tragic consequences. This effort reflects our shared commitment to keep communities safe.

The five Democrat-controlled cities in which strike forces will launch are also five with some of the most stringent gun control in the U.S. Collectively, they have all the gun control the Democrats are pushing at the federal level, which they present as a way to keep Americans safe.

For example, Los Angeles, like all of California, has a red flag law, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, universal background checks, an “assault weapons” ban, firearm registration requirements, a ban on campus carry for self-defense, a limit on the number of guns a law-abiding citizen can buy each month, a ban on K-12 teachers being armed for classroom defense, and more.

New York City, like all of New York, has an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, a red flag law, firearm registration requirements, and more.

Chicago, like all of Illinois, has a red flag law, a 72-hour wait on gun purchases, and a requirement that would-be gun buyers first obtain a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card.

The process to acquire a FOID care requires the applicant to be photographed and undergo a background check.

Moreover, Cook County, the county in which Chicago is located, has an “assault weapons” ban.

At least I'm happy to say Missouri passed their bill that said if the Feds try to do this in our state, they're getting NO help from local or state officials...

(Although our idiots in St. L are trying to sue to get this bill nullified... although it's not going to happen)

RE: No one is coming for your guns!
well, the Missouri bill that was passed and signed said basically

1) If Feds come in to go after a crime that is on the books in Missouri, we'll assist.
2) If Feds are coming in for a crime that is NOT on the books in Missouri, they're on their own and will get no assistance.

So if they come in for a gun confiscation .. nope, not getting any help from Missouri law officials...

MI's blue but even many Dems here like their guns / have moderate views on it. We're still a 15-20 years away from this being something truly national & not just lip service. When more of the moderates retire & more AOC's etc. get in, then we're in trouble.

RE: No one is coming for your guns!
This is part of the Marxist long game. You defund the police, stoke violence through race baiting and Marxist propaganda, then use the wave of violence as an excuse to further gun legislation that does nothing to solve the core issue.

The idea is to slowly chip away at the gun laws and slowly whittle the 2nd amendment support down until its a minority view.

I hope so.

Twice I've called and asked if stores had any and it was gone by the time I got there.

I know .45 and 38 special are still scarce. 9 mm and 5.56 are pretty easy to get now.
