Nice win today over ECU

74 Liberty (7-4)
64 ECU (8-3)

We started off slow this season and we've played a lot of good teams. We needed this win against ECU and I'm glad we got it.

Lady Flames are quietly 11-1.

Will the men’s team get to 20 wins this season?
I would never have believed we’d be 8-6 at this point in the season.

Did you think we would be better or worse? Assuming covid doesn't mess with our schedule we still have 17 games left and we should be favored in all of them. I think a 12-5 record for the rest of the season to get to 20 is not only attainable but would be a disappointment if we lost that many.

LU should prevail in most home conference games, and 3-5 road losses seems accurate. A 20+ win total should be within reach, that is with the virus factor, if any.

Plus I expect us to win some ASUN tournament games. Our record is a disappointment but the season is salvageable.

9 wins now.
16 conference games which I expect to win at a minimum 10.
Conference tournament where I expect at least one win.
We should make it to 20 wins with a worst case scenario.

The LU vs Stetson game last night in Deland was a very good one for LU. Stetson jumped out to a 10 point lead and LU calmly played good defense and took control. I was pleased to see McKay get angry and express his dissatisfaction on play during a time out. Good to see the energy. A convincing on the road victory. Especially with McGee "only" scoring 16 points and having an "off" night. The bigs played some of their best ball so far.

Shiloh looked solid. It was a good win for the Flames against a traditionally tough opponent. Great ASUN start for LU.

Well darn. LU women are down 3 starters and 1 key sub against Stetson tonight due to covid protocols.

But they earned a solid win.

McGhee scores 48 points, sets the highest scoring in Division 1 for 2021-22 and not one posts, thread or comment on this board. At current, many more postings on the C-USA board by LU fans. And that's understandable with the upcoming C-USA membership.

And it's time for the board MOD to step up here and take some actions to keep this site active. Solicit others from SOR to join. Bring thoughtful comment, congrats, criticisms, and observations that will engage others board members to participate. Post about LU and opposing teams to encourage others to reply. And lastly, accept and allow criticisms as well as compliments of LU as another viewpoint.

I pestered GT to create a LU board years ago believing LU's fan base would follow. So far, it has not. Let's not allow this to dissolve away.

Wow! The ladies escaped with a 1 point win over Jax. We blew a 16 point lead in the second have and trailed by 5.

On a side note, the men’s games for Thursday and Saturday have been postponed.

It's too bad about the men's team getting postponed. We are just hitting our stride.

The women's team is having an excellent season but can't crack the nut of FGCU. I wasn't sure if Coach Green still had it in him but he's proving he does.

I'm a little slow with understanding the point of the GIF. Can you explain?
