We don’t talk hockey much here , but damn if the Canes are not an exciting team to watch this year. Legit Cup contenders!

May 11th is when I plan to tune in.

For now, I'm watching baseball players strike out a lot.

You must be watching my team, or yours. Both equally pathetic thus far. I watched the entire Canes game last night only checking baseball score a few times. That's where i'm at

Mine for sure, but I think it is a league wide issue. Cubs announcers have spoken a lot about the potential of lowering the mound or moving the rubber back a few inches. Pitching is dominant!

ESPN Sunday night crew is awful, FWIW. Apparently the 6-8 Cubs are going to be sellers at the trade deadline, but the 5-10 Yankees are going to be buyers. "Alex, can you imagine Anthony Rizzo on the Yankees?"

Yeah that is awful. The Yankees have deep rooted issues that are rearing their ugly heads. Their whole strategy to get the guys that just hit bombs just doesn't work. It may win some regular season games, but 99% of the time it just doesn't win titles. I have Hendricks on my fantasy squad, he's killing me!

I also love the fact that hockey is one of the very few sports that hasn't gotten political. I can watch a game, and not have to hear about the rest of the BS going on and they only really talk about Covid if it's had a direct effect on the players with the teams involved.

Maybe that's why i've gotten really into it the last year. I agree with what Farve said, people come to sports to get away from the BS!

He seemed like a good dude, he really sucks at ping pong though.

Also, thanks for taking me to that game. It was a ton of fun, and I've been a fan ever since.

It’s a fun place to watch a. Game especially when they are good. Lord Cooper is lifting capacity limits June 1, so hopefully the nhl will let the fans pack the house. I’ve been twice this year and am going next Thursday

I'm willing to give anyone a chance in hell at beating me at ping pong whenever they'd like.

Big game for the Canes tonight. First in the central on the line, or so I heard on the radio this morning.

Yep. Getting 3 of 4 points in back to backs Mon/Tuesday Vs. the defending champs was HUGE! They have played well Vs. FL this year need this one(5-0-1). Tampa and FL have a few more games Vs. Each other after tonight & Sat Vs. Fl again, this is it for the Canes vs. those two teams.

After another few wins the Canes are sitting atop the standings not only in the Central, but also lead Vegas for the presidents trophy for the best team in the league.

RE: Carolina Hurricanes
Hurricanes have locked in the central division title and the number 1 seed in their pod. They will play Nashville in the first round, a team they have finished the regular season playing 2 against. If they lose their last game tonight, they are in danger of losing 3 in a row headed into the playoffs. By losing Sat, they pretty much tossed away any chance at beating Vegas out for the presidents cup and ensuring they had home ice throughout the playoffs. They are choosing to rest many key players tonight in Nashville, it could get ugly.

It does, but so does dropping from first to potentially 4th, losing three in a row and two in a row to your first round opponent
