I noticed that as well. I really liked the pre and post game shows that gave Drexel and these CAA games a lot of attention. I did think that a lot of the talk on these shows was a bit too generic and they really didn't know these teams are what they were talking about, but pretended that they did. I know that so many fans in the CAA would prefer that the CAA Final be on ESPN, which is fair. However, ESPN would not have given our games this much attention and CBS gave us a lot of postgame celebration coverage. ESPN would have run to the next game seconds after it ended.

Also, after watching nothing but low budget school produced broadcasts for several years now, it was nice watching the CBS games remembering a real basketball telecast is like.

I thought CBS Sports did a good job overall. Had researched just enough not to sound stupid and liked the extended coverage and cut backs to the net cutting and trophy presentation.

Absolutely CBS Sports gets credit for their production and coverage. They were definitely not knowledgeable, but national broadcasts wont. Since its not CBS its easier to stick around for longer coverage since they have a more limited set of items to produce for. For a conference like ours, that is a huge benefit especially in a year where few fans had the opportunity.

Having Wally Szczerbiak as our biggest cheerleader was pretty cool. I have less love for the color announcer with the ridiculous accent.
