This is pretty close to what I would like to see happen. Only difference I had was James Madison instead of Troy. However, on further review, Troy makes more sense geographically.

It looks like the trade is Troy over SoMiss on what is proposed here.

Part of the issue is the state of Alabama is dead center in the South. Its too far east to fit well in a Texas conference and too far west to be part of the east coast.

Louisiana can definitely go with Texas. Mississippi and Tennessee fit together through Memphis. Georgia and Florida go together as big states.

Correct. This is rubbish put up by CUSA leftovers who have no future in a conference structured as the CUSA currently is. They will never be accepted for membership in the MAC or SB.
