RE: Blake Anderson resigns
Guys, it seems this was a best case scenario. Anderson gets to move away from bad memories without taking a step down in school or salary, and State gets a new coach who hopefully meets the fans expectations. Win/Win in my book.

RE: Blake Anderson resigns
I just read a report that seems to indicate that Blake Anderson may be walking into a hornets nest at Utah State. USU players have opted out of their final game against Colorado State in a dispute with USU over the hiring of Anderson. They feel like their interim Coach was discriminated against due to his religious beliefs and they wanted him to get the job!!!
Jonesboro might not have been that bad for him after all!

So what happens if they void the contract like Tennessee...

I have seen lots of posts and looks like the USU players are willing to accept the idea of a new coach. Anderson will win the team over.
Message board people are usually the negative side of every fanbase. Truth is that most stAte fans will be sad to see Anderson go, but understand it is best for him, and the program could also benefit from a fresh start.
I think if Anderson stayed, he would have gotten the team back to a better place. I also think if stAte hires well, it won't take long to get back to being one of the top programs in the SBC.

I think it was Arkstfan who said the fan base had already fired Anderson. He was right. Anderson was finished at stAte.

RE: Blake Anderson resigns
Definitely a bit of a pickle. Depending on how this unfolds, I'd think he'd be willing to have the contract voided. Not exactly the honeymoon having to deal with that while trying to move on. It's very understandable why he's struggling with stAte, and his story is pretty well known in the football community. No one would blame him at all, and many would be willing to have him on staff in some fashion should he end up without a landing spot.
