RE: Best Team In The State of Michigan
The biggest problem the MAC has vs the Power 5 is the inability to get the running game going. Once they get behind, they can’t run, & are forced to pass. The defense knows this, so then the MACs passing game & therefore offense is done.

Our passing this game is great this year. Eleby has an arm & is accurate. Could probably put up 21 or so but without a running game & an average MAC defense, the states 2 Big 10 schools would put up 35-42 minimum. A WMU or CMU matchup vs Iowa/Purdue/Nebraska/etc would be interesting tho.

That being said, I’d like WMUs chances over Michigan St in Kalamazoo in an empty stadium due to Covid

Watching hi-lights of the team over the years. 2016 ESPN College GameDay hi-lights condensed to just Western stuff especially great. It's really a shame we couldn't build on that, but that's what happens when you lose 5 or 6 players to the NFL that off-season, plus a slew of other seniors. Such is life in the G5.

IF WMU could win the next four there could be game with interesting bowl opponent

Syracuse 1-7 & trailing 20-0 to 2-6 Louisville. Nice dodging Cincinnati & Notre Dame, but frustrating, this could've been the year we got the W vs the Cuse

I was kind of surprised Lester left Jefferson to carry the entire load at running back when Tyler went down. Don't get me wrong, Jefferson is a stud back there but I thought they might give him a blow or two during the last few series. We have a number of running backs on the roster -- I was surprised we didn't utilize them.

Kincaide was dressed and ready to play, I guess they never felt they needed to risk him.

UM’s problem is 100% the QBs. From Elvis Grbac to Chad Henne, every UM QB that started a game spent time on an NFL roster—even Scott Dreisbach, who ended as the 3rd string QB on the kickoff team.

It’s mystifying that Harbaugh has neglected this one most critical position.

After seeing U Michigan yesterday & vs Wisconsin, I think we could put a decent fight vs them. At least before they put in McNamara. People talk about their QB situation, including me, but I don't think their Defense is great either.
