It's cause, of all things, during a freaking pandemic and widespread lockdown we've got a damn housing boom going on. Took me a month to get some new shutters in, and they were 10 days late even then.

New housing builds up, existing home prices have gone up something like 6-8% in many markets as those who can get the hell out of cities. New car sales? Up, up, up. Used car demand and prices? Up, up and up. Lot of areas you are going to struggle to find a used car you actually want.

Rather counter-intuitive, but I guess people don't have much of anything else to spend their money on.
