It would take a very poor sailor to sink a boat this beautiful in smooth waters. I'm puzzled how this could have happened. It's gonna be expensive to get it out but with a boat this size I don't think he's lacking for money, sense, yes, but not money.

I don’t know what happened in the case of these Trump morons but I’ve seen morons at the lake forget to put their bilge plug back in.

I’m skeptical whether that’s a legit picture anyway. I did read that several smaller craft got swamped by wakes colliding, using a closed in lake, even as big as it is, likely wasn’t a great idea. It’s like sloshing around in a huge bath tub or swimming pool. Over time it can accumulate and get a bit dicey.

But, most pleasure boats are hard as heck to actually sink. Swamp? Yes. Sink? Only in extremes.
That pic could just as easily be a toy of some sort in someone’s dirty pool with a flag photoshopped on there.

Here's the reality....

JMU has it correct. Lots of boats on a lake is an issue. Many of these are pretty small.... fishing or skiing boats. Some wouldn't have pumps to manage water over the bow, some boaters would have never used it and not known how to turn it on. Most of these, the 'pump' is when they unscrew the plug and it drains while they drive home. Front ballast fills, boater stupidly accelerates to get out of the situation and buries the bow. Game over.

That said, We're talking Lake Travis... not exactly Trump territory. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if there were college kids on jet skis or in smaller boats churning up the water as well. I'm not saying illegally or anything... just I doubt if a Trump parade of any type near Austin wouldn't garner a lot of negative attention.
