Blame the protests if you can't think of anything else to say. Just wear your masks when you're shopping.

In other words, even though we all know masks don't do spit, just shut up and obey so there won't be consequences. Do you beat your spouse and your children and dogs into compliance also?

I say that because 2 people in my office have tested positive within the last 2 weeks, both of whom are in their 20's. I know of at least 4 area teenagers (and a mom who was a chaperone) take a beach vacation trip to Destin who have tested positive. To the best of my knowledge, none of them attended a single protest. Now odds are good all were not really concerned about their chances of testing positive (I can absolutely confirm that was the case for the two co-workers based on their day-to-day responses to our safety stand-up talks). Even though they're all young and prone to doing young things, I don't want any of them to die or even get that sick for that matter.

RE: Good Grief....Fauci warns of new Swine Flu Strain in China
Quote:Anthony Fauci testified to a Senate committee Tuesday that he would "not be surprised" if the U.S. begins reporting as many as 100,000 new coronavirus cases per day, adding, "I'm very concerned and not satisfied with what's going on because we're going in the wrong direction."

The big picture: The country is currently seeing about 40,000 new cases daily, but that number will rise rapidly "if this does not turn around," Fauci said. He added that the outbreaks in various parts of the country put "the entire country at risk" and "clearly we don't have this under control."

Earlier in the hearing, Fauci warned that some states are "skipping over" checkpoints in the federal reopening guidelines and that this is leading to new hotspots in states like Texas, Florida and Arizona.
He added that even states and localities that "did it right" regarding reopening still have individuals who engaged in an "all or none phenomenon" — disregarding social-distancing measures and face mask usage while out socially.
What he's saying:

"I can't make an accurate prediction, but it is going to be very disturbing, I will guarantee you that, because when you have an outbreak in one part of the country even though in other parts of the country they're doing well, they are vulnerable. I made that point very clearly last week at a press conference. We can't just focus on those areas that are having the surge. It puts the entire country at risk."
"We are now having 40,000+ new cases a day. I would not be surprised if we go up to 100,000 a day if this does not turn around. And so I'm very concerned."
— Anthony Fauci at a Senate Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing

... And those who aren't sick but test positive are simply the asymptomatic carriers.

They've got all the bases covered.

Protests dying down so it's back to the virus. His name had disappeared for a month

But if we want to live our lives and keep businesses and jobs afloat, every bit helps. If wearing a mask slows the spread down and allows us to live our lives it's not a huge price to pay.

Obey! Obey!

Frick that

That's fine, just be ready for more shutdowns like we're seeing in AZ, TX and FL. All Republican governors having their hands forced by hospitalization spikes.
Speaking for Texas that is not true. Spikes are not due to Cv19 and capacity is still widely available. The local hospitals had to put a notice out to let folks know not to believe the media.

Dallas County reported a single-day high 601 new coronavirus cases and a record 20 deaths on Tuesday.

The latest deaths included two residents in their 30s, three in their 40s, two in their 50s, three in their 60s, five in their 70s, three in their 80s, and two in their 90s.

RE: Good Grief....Fauci warns of new Swine Flu Strain in China
A PCR test isn't used to diagnose a disease. They are SUPPOSED to be used for those with symptoms to determine which virus. It picks up two strands of the DNA sequence. If you have a virus in your boddy with a strand of sequence the same or very similar it will pick it up and you will test positive and not be"infected". The scam is the PCR test. When you go to urgent care thinking you have the flu and don't test positive you have something else. End of story. They don't stick 10 swabs in your nose.
