I personally prefer Val Demings. Former Police Chief turned Congresswoman who served as a manager at the Trump impeachment...have her stump in FL with her Mayor hubby...Joe works PA...Obama's work Wisconsin and Michigan.

She seems to be a more establishment Democrat team player than someone like an AOC type. I could see that. I think a lot of liberals are going to be disappointed with a Biden administration. His student loan reform is mild. He cares very much about the stock market and other big businesses that the liberals rally against. He is not going to defund the police or rally for a Medicare for all.

Whomever is VP is will serve the 2nd half of his term.
He wont make it 4 years. He is the most electable and it rewards a career team player.
Getting his VP in there for the 2nd half allows for her to run as an incumbent for 2024 and 2028.
If he picks an establishment type enjoy your fools gold

Biden is considered 'establishment' & 'moderate.'. That's turning off the Bernie Bros, or at least why they're not excited about him. Doesn't he need someone who's clearly not-establishment & clearly not moderate? Or is he just taking for granted they'll show up b/c they hate Trump?

You DO realize how far left the entire party has drifted, don't you?

Harris probably. I also disagree that the party has drifted much. The presidential candidate is Joe Biden. He’s the one the Party as an entity was going for the entire time. They wanted/want just as much to do with a possible progressive ticket as the Republicans. Hell, if they could’ve had Romney jump over, they probably would’ve taken him.

The reason they seem like they’ve drifted is that they have to seem like they’re standing for something wholly different from the Republicans. Kind of like how the Tea Party was an actual thing until Obama was no longer in office. Once Trump is out a lot of stuff is going to fall way to the back.

I don't remember during Obama's run the establishment DNC trying to remove statues, brand those who disagree with them raciss, disband police departments or justify violence as some sort of payback.

Two things: Obama’s run didn’t have the democrats as the “kicked dog”. They had both houses.

What we did have were both party establishments coming out and taking a side in the war, with McCain having made statements on even bombing Iran. If you were against the war, you were against the troops and un-American according to the Republicans and if you agreed that we should stay over there you were a warmonger.

Nah, you don’t need a non-establishment VP candidate. All it has to be is someone who can make themselves a little likable until Nov. Even the unlikable Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. Turn that popular vote into winning the right places and they could slide to victory.
