FBI's Chris Wray Ratted Out by Other Top Brass for his Russian Investments
Quote:Top brass in the FBI have ratted out their director Christopher Wray with shocking revelations detailing a string of alarming conflicts and millions of dollars of investments in — of all things — Russia.

The FBI’s top agent has as much as $5 million in personal cash invested in varying sectors in Russia, according to details provided by FBI brass and documents obtained by the Thomas Paine Podcast and the Moore Paine Show on Patreon. And also troubling about Wray’s investments in Russia? Wray has never removed himself from presiding over the FBI’s Russia collusion investigation of President Trump; the Mueller probe into Russia interference in the 2016 election, Russian allegations in the bogus Steele dossier, Russian ties to the Gen. Mike Flynn investigation, Russian advertising during the 2016 election, and criminal FBI cases involving and targeting Russian nationals and entities.

I knew that MF was dirty but had no idea that he was also THAT STUPID. This should get some traction at least on the right. Makes one wonder how many others in D.C. have the same 'problem' while I wonder what has been going on in the background to make those investments 'perform better.'

Wray and Comey. No difference in the two.

Uh, really? Where have you been the last 5 years?

Now Wray sure seems to want to protect the bureau, but he isn't the one who created the situation where the bureau needed to be protected.

Uhhh, elephant in the room?

How does a career FBI guy, even at the SES level have 5 MILLION to invest anywhere?

If that’s the case (I have no idea outside of this) he’s gotta have 10-15 MM invested elsewhere as a hedge.

At the Director level I’m pretty sure he would max out at the Senate max salary, around 200k a year. In DC, NoVa or McMaryland burbs that’s about the equivalent to 80-100k elsewhere. Not exactly the rich and famous.

Gotta be a LOT more to this story (if true), maybe he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth?

Wray isn’t career-FBI. He was partner with King & Spalding for 11 years

To me, the interesting angle here is that (supposedly) this information was put in the media food-chain by other FBI personnel. If that’s true —which it may or may not be — then Wray obviously has some people close to him with the knives out.

The rank-and-file have had their knives out since Bobby Two Sticks. There is a huge disconnect between the people at the top and the people in the field.

There is have been (very believable IMO) reports that Comey faced open revolt from the rank-and-file after he recommended that Hillary not be prosecuted, and that his reopening the matter later was an attempt to quell the rebellion.

I’ve seen some of those reports as well, and I think they’re true.

It’s almost impossible to exaggerate what a disaster James Comey was for the FBI. Trump’s instincts haven’t served him well in every instance, but putting Comey back in the private sector is one of the wisest and most consequential personnel-decisions any President has made in a long time.
