Ditto. Don't own a mask nor will I go anywhere that makes me wear one. Kroger doesn't, Walmart doesn't, Whole Foods doesn't, so I can buy groceries, and if they change their policy I'll buy my groceries from Amazon.

My WholeFoods does and has an officer outside the entrance. I think they're relaxing it a bit though as I saw an elderly gentleman perusing without one. Probably took it off after he got inside.

I wear the one my neighbor gave us. It's a stupid little foam jobby with a liner inside. I don't think it offers any protection really and when I'm in a store aisle by myself I just drop it down to my chin. If I see someone coming I'll pull it up. It's no biggie, it's what is called peace of mind...from the nut jobs. This is the same as not wearing a MAGA cap, I'll vote for Trump but I won't wear anything that can trigger a nut job. It's what is referred as peace of mind. The hassles aren't worth it to me and it doesn't take but a second to put it on. It's called common sense and both sides can use some.

Most people in all three of the stores I mentioned wear masks, but they aren't required. I have no problem if someone wants to wear one.

They also all have one way aisles, and I of course always go the wrong way. Civil disobedience (or more likely I'm just an ahole), but no one has said anything to me so far.

In my home state of Virginia, our governor, Wreck-It-Ralph, issued an order today requiring masks indoor beginning this Friday, yes starting May 28?!?!?! He admitted it's not enforceable and the police association immediately came out afterwards to say they will not enforce it. I am all for wearing masks if it means everyone gets there butts back to normal. But the most troubling part of this is that while admitting it is unenforceable, he said his hope was for the legislature will enact enforcement measures and fines when they reconvene IN AUGUST!!! I have been saying for months that our governor has preformed better in this panic than many governors (and worse than others as well), but between this and few other issues to come out in the last week or so have made me question that.

The funniest thing about this is it is now simultaneously illegal AND mandatory to wear face coverings in public. I'd say the "illegal" said wins out since that is a 60 year old legislative action to combat the KKK and still used as additional charges for rioters, while the "mandatory" is merely an unenforceable mandate by the governor with no force of law backing it up.

And the significance of Wreck-It-Ralph Northam mandating an order that contradicts with a law passed to fight the KKK is not lost on me.

I haven’t seen one store requiring a mask. I went to a BBQ joint for lunch today and no one had a mask on. Not even the servers. Then again, they have had a Trump MAGA sign hanging in there since before the 2016 election. So you can walk around looking like an idiot and letting someone hand you a bottle thru the door and I’ll keep going to places I’ve been going where silly stuff like that isn’t necessary.

Less than 1% mortality rate and people are petrified. Smh

it's the intersection of Stage/Bartlett BLVD all in the same strip mall. Dollar Tree and Supercuts required masks...Kroger didn't require it, but most everyone had them on...the nail salon next to Kroger required one...the Robert Irwin Jewelers handed customers masks as you walked in and the employees had on mask/gloves...Sally's and the Liquor store made you call them, tell them what you want, charge a card over the phone, and hands it through the door.

Gamestop doesn't seem to care...PetCo had a sign saying they 'prefer' masks and offer curbside pickup.

Malco is still closed so the other strip mall is a ghost town.

I don't try to find out what 'politics' stores support and stores that do that kind of stuff aren't for me...I don't need a BBQ joint trying to sway my vote.
