Likely enough to pay her credit cards, college loans ( she should sue for false advertising) and enough for a sprite new Maserati, new swag, and a quaint “camp” somewhere on Jekyll island or similar.
After that the 225,000 annual, and free housing, meals (Laaawd have mercy), free platinum
Health care/ insurance (not for us Plebes now, tho. Don’t be getting all uppity) travel and security should suffice.
Once those are met she can comfortably step out and let the bureaucratic morass play the marionettes stings. She has no more real interest in genuinely “governing” than Sloe ever has.
Yea, bring it. I’m good.
She's still salting from losing the GA governor's race. She'd try to exact some petty revenge on the GOP by acceding to DNC policies that would rile up the GOP. But I don't think she has a true agenda of her own. Unlike many on here, I didn't think Georgia would have been that badly hurt with her in office. She would not have enacted any plan that economically harmed the state. At worst she would have raised taxes to increase teacher pay or address the pension crisis. Wouldn't have been much worse than Roy Barnes' tenure.
I would hope that a Biden/Abrams administration, particularly if it turned into an Abrams administration, would run into the same problem that Obama did, that the American public simply isn't ready enough for "progressive" socialism/communism to be able to cram it down their throats. If they tried to push it in the first two years, republicans would kill them in the midterms, just like in 1994 and 2010. In such case, I would hope that republicans would do a more effective job of reversing things this time. And if they waited until the second two years, they would almost certainly run into lame duck issues.
The problem I see is that democrats keep pushing us toward socialism/communism, and republicans are doing a horsecrap job of pushing us the other way. So democrats push for a ton of things, get a few pounds, and walk away determined to push the needle further next time. Next time they get a few more pounds, and after a few years they have their ton. Republicans never seem to move the needle the other way. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, but I wish my enemies had better enemies.
I think this is because the GOP champions business and employment. Which would be fine if they were also experts in knowing where capitalism fails and doing whatever it takes to keep honest commerce on the rails. But for much of my life, Republicans have actually been the ones taking advantage of said failures (monopolies, crony capitalism, rent seeking, union busting, bailouts etc.) which has allowed the advancement of socialism/communism in this country.
Wish I could say that was just a 1 side problem, but both sides have been doing this for the last 30 years or so. Yes the Bernie movement has been pushing for socialism, but point to me the actions of mainstream Dems the last 30 years that have been anything other than propping up the failures of capitalism? The only big "socialist" program the Dems have actually gotten is Obamacare/RomneyCare, in which they still made sure to cave out everything necessary to ensure that pharma and insurance companies profits were not harmed in the least.
