RE: Rand Went There
The only one.
Other then that, the hearing was a total waste of time & tax dollar money. The Democrats spewing their go-to lines, and the other GOP senators rolled over.

RE: Rand Went There
Heard that go down and had to swing the chair around.
Rands an interesting guy, first off part pirate it seems, but beyond that he's soft-spoken but with a sharp tongue and no holds barred.
He went right after that question and it's intent was pretty damn clear. Fauci's response was lucid and predictable as well, but talk about two sides of the same damn coin.

RE: Rand Went There
Rand is a Kentucky treasure. He says what’s on his mind but usually he does it in a way that isn’t insulting.
They asked him why he wasn’t wearing a mask and he said something like I already had it so what’s the point.

RE: Rand Went There
And liberal Twitter went into a frenzy saying Rand got owned. They'd argue water isn't wet if they had to.

RE: Rand Went There
There was a moment at one of Rand's niece's weddings where Ron, Ronnie, Rand, and I were having a conversation and Peggy (Ronnie's wife) said, "Looks like y'all are running the world." I only wish it were true.

Wow, I loved how you did that, what do you call it, "name dropping". Nice job Owl. I wish I knew as many important people as you just so that I could name drop all the time.
Wait, but will it get me a free cup of coffee if I did?

Yeah, it's name dropping, but I don't think there are many people on here who don't know that Ronnie and Peggy have been clients since the 1980s, and Joy was at a Ob/Gyn clinic that was a client in the 1990s and 2000s. I don't know how many truly important people I know. The Pauls and GHWB and Barbara (went to same church) and GWB slightly are about it, but if you've lived in Houston for the past 50 years, the chances are pretty good that your paths have crossed theirs a few times.

We MUST reopen!!! There are companies failing we cannot inflict irreparable damage to the economy to potentially save an undetermined number of lives. A post COVID19 economy with 10% structural unemployment will likely cost more.

They want structural unemployment.
How bout this - why doesn't Congress give up their paycheck, especially if their constituents can't open back up? Come join the rest of the people struggling to survive.

Yep, we walked (he rode) the 2009 Shell Houston Open with GHWB. He and the Secret Service came rolling up behind me in their caravan of carts, I had no idea until he was passing me, literally 3 feet away. Pretty cool experience looking up from your phone and seeing a president.
