Oooooookay 03-zzz

With a non-filibuster-proof majority, and with democrats using every legislative trick in the books to slow things down, yes.

He's not good at a lot else, but he has been good at this.

I think democrats are a lot more adept at gumming up the works when they are out of power than republicans are at doing so when they are out of power. Republicans in general just don't seem to be as good at the art and techniques of politics as democrats are. I guess that's because so many democrats are career politicians.

Perhaps you missed the rule change...a super majority is no longer required to approve federal judges.

The impact of his will continue for at least 20 years. If he wins election it is very likely the SCOTUS will become uber conservative. He will likely have at least two more appointments there. I think this issue scares the leadership of the Democrat party more than anything else.

No doubt, but that hardly makes him adept at his job...not exactly a high bar any more.

Yeah, that's a trick the GOP learned from the Dems -- change the rules to as you need to so it makes it easier to get what you want.

I appreciate the link. It shows all the people who've been nominated but not yet appointed.

There's quite a few more in the pipeline!

It's not a trick. Reid changed the rules...and they should have been changed. The Constitution does not have anything in it about a 60-vote super majority.

That's right, it was a Dem tric... uh, rule change -- to work to their advantage at the time.

The Constitution doesn't say how many justices should be on the SCOTUS, either. That's left to Congress to decide.

As I think back over the confirmation issue, I recall now that it was Dems who were dragging out the hearings over Trump's appointments. Ol' Mitch decided to get tough and have the hearings anyway, thereby curb-stomping the Dems' delay tactics.

I think we got out of topic. So I'll take it back. I actually think that her aides and friends behind the curtain were laughing their sweet butts off and high fiving each other, and with good reason. When I saw her kick the guy in the nuts they should have shown his face. It was a classic "I got you with YOUR gotcha questions" and it was lovely. Those hacks deserve no justice or pity. Kick them to the floor and continue the kicking when they're down, I say.

Yeah, it was pretty sweet.

Democrats tend to gum up the works even when they are in power. Look at Obama's first two years with a filibuster proof Senate. Couldn't even get a budget done on time.

I'm not so sure it was 'couldn't' but believe it was more of a "let's set a new normal" procedure where we careen from one emergency spending bill to another and no expectation is raised any more that a budget bill MUST get done. Just my opinion.

Heck, he even had to lie to the last few Dem holdouts on ObamaCare to get them to vote for it.

Told them it wouldn't cover abortions.

They should've known he was lying.

What did getting his budget done have to do with the makeup of the Senate?

With a huge house majority and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, a competent group would have gotten lots done, especially getting their own budget. See LBJ in 1963-1967.

It's the law of the land, so I follow it. Doesn't mean I have to believe it's the most effective way to elect a president in this day and age.

Abortion is also legal, doesn't mean you have to accept it and not want to change it, right?

Agreed.

Specifically, abortion was a bad decision by the SCOTUS and should be overturned.

Rogan on Kayleigh: She's a gangster.

Jamie (Rogan's secretary) is the quintessential california cuck. I like how Rogan and Brendan basically told him to just STFU and play the clip LMAO. He didn't want to, because it made his team look bad aww.
