Is the world becoming interested in the root cause of COVID-19 Pandemic?
It's hard to say if I'm merely seeing "voices in the wind" or if we're seeing the international community finally hitting their limit on Chinese bullsh!t? News story this morning from Fox News.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/who-dir...irus-china

Quote:Amid persistent criticism that his organization failed to properly oversee China's coronavirus response and worked to downplay the communist nation's responsibility for the pandemic, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is facing growing calls for his resignation from American politicians and others around the world.

Calls have been led by Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., who last week on Fox Business' "Mornings with Maria" told host Maria Bartiromo that she has "never trusted a communist" and that the Chinese government's "cover-up of this virus that originated with them has caused unnecessary deaths around America and around the world... I think Dr. Tedros needs to step down."

She continued on Friday, placing part of the blame for China's lack of transparency on the WHO director-general.

Opening paragraphs are showcasing a call from a GOP senator for the WHO head to step down. I bolded an interesting phrase where the cry might be getting louder with more international leaders chiming in. Is this part in bold more organic or is it spin from Fox? Not sure. I don't recall seeing other articles on the MSM web sites although some have recently ran stories that the virus COULD have started at the Wuhan research lab and not randomly from a wet market.

I'm cautiously optimistic but am maintaining my skepticism that the majority of the world will turn a blind eye to China's incompetence and recklessness with COVID-19.

Politicians are good at bloviating as it requires zero commitment to action. Save for Americans demand to get manufacturing out of China, no one will actually pursue legal action against China. Most won't even side with the U.S. on the reshoring efforts.

The WHO president is history. He will not survive this. The Chinese didnt admit the virus was spread from person to person until Jan 20th---that about a month after they knew it was spreading person to person. The courts cant do crap---but countries can. "Made in China" should become the same thing as "made by Killers". People should actively begin avoiding those products and countries should be actively involved in moving their manufacturing away from China. China will ignore any court order anyway----but that doesnt mean the international community cant hit them where they really feel it.

I think much of it will have to be driven by American consumers. If we can boycott as many Chinese made goods as realistically possible, then stateside companies may redo their supply chains. However, I think China is bad enough of an actor on the world stage that we should enter a new Cold War. Stop defending all shipping going to China and out of China, then covertly cripple shipping in and out of China until the country breaks.

Agreed

I don't know and we may never know if this was the result of people eating 'bat soup' or of something being tested in a facility (which is how this stuff works) that was accidentally released...

but it doesn't matter to me. It happens too often from there to be simply 'chance'.
