Why is it the the Socialist utopia always requires despair misery and millions of deaths?

Well, all I can say is that any socialist utopia is the last place in the world that I would want to live.

If we could just split of everything NY and North plus the West Coast states, America would be great again, those states thing America was always awful and look down their noses at all other states.

Just because we had a civil war and the Union won doesn't mean this country will survive forever.

Nah, I'd keep NYC. It's the home of Wall Street, the beating heart of capitalism. Vermont is cool too, and so is western MA and northern CT. In the Northeast, it's really just the eastern half of Massachusetts that's toxic.

In the West, it's really just greater Los Angeles and Portland that are unrecognizable as part of America. The Bay Area and Seattle at least pretend to share capitalism's values, even if they wildly distorts them.

When you think of banking NYC isn't the undisputed king anymore. Charlotte NC is home to 2 of the 10 largest banks, a 3rd might relocate here if the US were split. Pittsburgh is home to another of the top 10 and Minneapolis yet another. Liberalism is like cancer if there's widespread infection you need to cut it all out, that's my rationale of west coast and NYC north. VT, CT, MA, NY, etc. all are permanent dark blue virtually impossible for a conservative to win statewide office so why keep them? CA isn't just LA, its SF and Oakland the parts that aren't far left are small. CA infected and killed WA and OR as lefties fled to those states but brought their far left ideology with them.
