I heard him this morning say that he has no problem with doctors prescribing those drugs off label. He's just not willing to say they'll work until after randomized trials are sufficient and conclusive. The bureaucrat and scientist in him.

I think I would trust my life with a practicing physician instead of a guy who hasn't treated a patient since the beginning of the Vietnam War.
