Trump let him ramble awhile, then finally interrupted him, and told him he was trying to keep the country calm, and gather the forces necessary to win the war, and that Acosta and CNN were trying to do the opposite.
Trump said if he wanted to stir things up, he could do a much better job than Acosta, then cut him off and went to the next question.
I'm leaving out details, but that's the gist of it. Twas a beautiful thing...
Not a call out, at all.
And please, correct me if I'm wrong.
But this seems to be looking like a more common reaction from folks from many different "takes" now that they're seeing all this in real time. Not filtered, not spoon fed, not what other folk decide you want or need to hear.
Sounds like our friend BondJons is closer to a Trump vote than a Sloe endorsement. You, perhaps, as well. I'm not looking to pimp for any candidate, just an observation.
Strange bedfellows, perhaps. But in my glass half full world, Im seeing more and more see right on through all this crap. Garbage in, garbage out. He wasn't "my Guy" outta the gate, but gotta admit, he's done a damn fine admirable job thus far.
Esp., with all the slings and arrows thrown at him.
Ya'll remember "Impeeesh forry-fie!" just a few scant minutes ago? I do. How's that working out for you?
Sad.
Not an awakening for me. I have known the media is biased and crooked since 2008, when I was building custom homes, and the media incessantly pounded the economy is bad theme, in front of the mortgage market collapse, to help get Obama elected.
The mortgage market collapse was caused by Dem lawmakers pushing mortgages to typically non-qualifying loan applicants. It was a house of cards waiting to fall, and the media and the Dems took full advantage of it.
Months before the market actually collapsed, customers started pulling back on buying, almost overnight, b/c the media pounded the bad economy so much. How do I know? My customers and potential customers told me.
So I have been anti-MSM and anti-Dem at least that long.
It's just that I don't embrace the Pubs, either, b/c they are a bunch of bumbling idiots who spend just as much as money as the Dems, just on different things. They rarely do anything to help the country, b/c they are really split into several groups themselves.
I actually like Trump's policies much better than either party, since we all know Trump is not really a Pub. He's a populist opportunist who rode the disgust with the status quo to a win.
What frustrates me about him is his narcissistic BS personality makes him much less effective than he could be, but OTOH, his hands were tied for awhile by the RINO Paul Ryan, when he could have made much more progress with a helpful Pub party.
My issues with Trump are he sabotages his own good ideas with his petty BS, and he spends like crazy, just like everybody else.
What goes to the core of my beliefs is my desire to blow up the two party system. I refuse to support either one. I think we should eliminate political parties and elect each individual on his/her own merits, and let them vote based on their own belief system, not voting party lines b/c some whip brow beat them into a vote.
What's going on with our two party system is a tragedy, one predicted by Thomas Jefferson over 200 years ago. It is going to ruin this country, either b/c the left wing radicals finally take control and turn us into a socialist country, or we split into 2 or more pieces, and go our separate ways.
Neither result is good.
Now, if I ever thought the presidential vote in my state could make a difference in a close race, I would this year definitely vote for Trump over Biden, who should be in a nursing home.
But I will never be a party loyalist for either side, so I usually vote third party, or just write in somebody, b/c I refuse to miss voting.
But I have a whole lot of things (too many to type for now) that I would support, and neither party is close to my ideals. If I tried to put myself in a party box, when I test online, I test Libertarian, but they never have a viable candidate, and some of their positions I am at odds with.
So, I continue to float as a man without a party. I'm never going to be an R or a D, or even an L. Just me, and whatever best fit I can find at the time.
But given what crap the Ds have pulled since 2015, I definitely am more sympathetic to anybody but them, and that probably won't change.
But I have held these views for at least 12 years, and was evolving that way since at least 2000, so it's not like I'm going to have some awakening now. It's more like I can tolerate Trump better than anybody else, for now, but the choices suck.
For me personally, it's a frustrating place to be, b/c any minute on this forum, I seem to draw the ire of one side or the other (sometimes both in one day), and I tire of constantly having to explain myself. Ds think I'm an R, and Rs think I'm a D, with any comment I make that they disagree with.
I remain engaged only b/c I think politics are important, and this year is more pivotal than many in recent memory. After the election, I'll probably disappear again, b/c I have better things to do than debate party ideologues on either side who never change.
