4 star WR from TX, Randy Masters is next in for 2022. Other offers included LSU, Auburn, Texas Tech, Oregon, Tennessee, Florida, and Mississippi State. I think that's good.
Part of the "Savage Seven" who met up on the camp circuit with rumors that they might all be a package. 2/7 down with Mumu.
That also includes
3* DB James Monds
4* QB Chad Mascoe
3/4* RB Jaylen Thompson
4* WR Sam Mbake
4* OLB Melvin Jordan
How does this even happen? It’s like defying gravity.

RE: FB Class of 2022
I think we need to acknowledge both the skill of recruiting that CLF and the staff possess and the fact that our football program is fast becoming a desired destination for recruits on a national level. Add to this the fact that there is no time like the present to be winning big with our #6 AP ranking, the media attention about the CFP possibility, and don't underestimate CLF's new contract extension for program stability. We may be heading toward a recruiting trajectory never before seen at UC. Life is good gents!

Yes 100% this.. In all seriousness though, if that "Savage 7" becomes reality and we can pluck off 1 or 2 more, there's a strong likelihood for the remaining uncommitted from the group to feel pressure for them to stick together. If that happens, there's several from the group who would be among the top 5 bearcats to commit here and they're all carrying offers from top SEC, ACC, and Big 12 schools.
Momentum has never been higher.

If this happens, props to Bin-Wahad. He's all over the place recruiting these guys and talking about winning a national championship here.

RE: FB Class of 2022
These two commits represent such a seismic change from Fick's prior classes. The early commits in each of those classes were largely comprised of Ohio kids with few offers (but good upsides). With guys like these, Metayer in the current class, and a handful of kids from last year, we're quickly developing a strong national profile.

Honestly we are already on a recruiting trajectory never before seen. That would just take it up another notch or 2.

I love and share the enthusiasm, but I'm going to pump the brakes a little on this one. We hear about "package deals" all the time of two or more players but how often does it come to fruition? We got the Mason brothers in basketball but even they insist they were not a package.
Of course it helps to have connections and friends helping us recruit but it's not like each target doesn't also have friends and connections luring them elsewhere at the same time. So I'm all for leveraging ours as far as they can go and I agree with targeting all 7, but we should also understand how virtually unprecedented that would be (including among the "elite" at least to my knowledge). Heck it sounds like just getting and keeping these two is huge so any more is pure gravy even if/when we don't get all seven (not that it's totally impossible of course).

Agree with this. Even if we don't get anymore in the package the quality from these two plus the overall excitement/attention that this generates will benefit us with other prospects out there I'm sure.

I thought he would be the hardest of that group to get when looking at his offers going in. I don't think we were even listed a week ago. LOL Not to often we pull a Florida kid with offers from all of the Florida schools. Phenomenal, and a position we need.

Holy ****...this is about as good as a fall can go from a Cincinnati Football perspective so far. It's a little concerning that he only started talking to us a week ago, but at this point, I'm just happy to be getting verbals from players like him this early in the process. National legitimacy comes from stuff like this on the recruiting trail.

Yea that was a small concern I had about his process too. Jumping in to an engagement and planning a 4-5 year marriage, a week after dating.. hopefully it goes well for him and the more communication there is, the more he likes Cincinnati.
