If you can convince them to join tell them to "come on down".

1 Army - they are a national brand that will attract a lot of ticket sales when they come to play. They are not competing for the same recruits as the rest of the AAC.

2 Rice - on the condition they have a plan to emphasize football. Texas is a big football crazy state, over lapping in Texas is perfectly fine when you have a historic program like Rice as well as AAU status.

3a UAB - Urban area, new market, will instantly beef up the middle of the AAC in football and basketball with the potential to reach the top consistently.

3b Ga. St. - the intangibles fit the AAC profile. The potential for this school to compete is through the roof.

Of the teams that haven't already changed their minds on the AAC or cost too much in travel I say App State in football and VCU in B-Ball. Sure Boise, if it worked out, and obviously BYU before the ESPN deal, but the rest are at best equal to App State and/or too far west.

Face it: we've achieved P6 status in Football and without UConn dragging us down we should prosper in hoops. There is literally nothing left to conquer. But Ice Hockey - is booming, and we could be leading edge for the growing number of eyeballs dying for more hockey, Now lets mine that Ice Hockey hidden gem diamond field to cement the conference status.

Well, if hockey is key, then Buffalo is you answer... they don't even need to build any hokey facilities, they can just water down the football field and label every home game "Winter Classic Spectacular"

Buffalo and New England would help the conference

I don't know about New England, heard Brady is unhappy and might be entering the "Transfer Portal"

App State were to win 1000 football games in a row the answer would still be no.

Your conference, moreover, has way too large a geographical footprint for schools with any practical fiscal responsibility. Your less desirable than you all think you are.

And plus, you lose all your bowl games.

I guess I imagined Houston and UCF winning the Peach Bowl...Cincy beating Va Tech...Navy beating Virgina...USF beating Texas Tech...and on and on[/rollseyes]

No thank you to any school from oversaturated North Carolina or in a poor, tough to reach rural area.

Anything in Georgia is in a poor, tough to reach rural area. That includes Atlanta. Although there are a few very nice looking girls in Atlanta. I am talking about you Mary Beth.

No... To far, to expensive to travel to, and to convenient for the Left wing of the AAC.

For Olympic Sports VCU (Close to Temple).

"Close to Temple" this is the only criteria that matters from now on.

If we discuss adding Army, Air Force or even BYU for that matter then the large footprint of the AAC will serve those 3 well.

There are NO legal brothels in Vegas. The state is county option and you must go about 49 miles outside the city to find what you are looking for.
There are however about 89 million illegal working girls in and around the city. About 87.8 million of them have STD. Those that don't are still in their first month of service.
