Someone has to tell me why the Mustangs are in C-USA!!

They MUST have another board somewhere else. I know that they know how to read and write. They aren't much good at sports (for now) but hopefully that will change soon. It better or they will drag CUSA down the crapper...I know they went ofer in football and the basketball team was pretty bad too.

Nobody cares what happened 20 years ago.

C'mon Mustangs pick it up.....you won't get any sympathy in Memphis. If you guys continue to be bad we'll have to run it up on you in both sports just to halfway protect our national rankings.

Not a lot of Mustangs around here (if you hadn't noticed). They have their own board off-site. I imagine over time they'll head this way just like Memphis fans did. It usually takes a problem with an off-site board to get a flood of people to set up shop here.

it's just a little early to get fired up for CUSA. we've still got a lame duck year to play in the WAC. Hopefully SMU will be much more competitive in both football and bball by the time we start playing you guys. It's been a long and painful journey since the death penalty. We're just pleased that someone still wants us to be a part of their league.

I certainly believe we'll be back and look for decent rivalries with all our CUSA west mates. I'd like to think a little SMU vs USM might be fun if we meet someday in the conference championship game. TCU will always remain our true rival, though. I was sorry to see them bail out. We just need to do our part in making CUSA the strongest non-BCS conference and the rest will take care of itself.

I guess not many SMU fans have visited the C-USAbbs boards. Seems like fans from every other "new" C-USA school have flooded the place! But I understand what you're saying. UCF still has another year coming up in the MAC and Atlantic Sun Conference. Hopefully, we will leave both leagues on a high note.
