Not sure what I think about missing out on ECU and Tulsa next season. I was looking forward to them getting over the hump next season and being bowl eligible teams. I have no idea what they're returning rosters look like, though.

These schedules are just as I expected.

Round robin in East with 4 crossover games
Round robin in West for 4 schools with 3 crossover games
Two teams in the West miss each other and play 4 West and 4 crossover.

Memphis and Tulsa miss each other in 2020.
Navy and Tulane miss each other in 2021.

Other than that, it's divisional foes as usual with crossover games to fill out the 8 team schedule.

They can keep the divisions if they want continuity. Or go divisionless if they want 1 vs 2. From the press release:

The American will not have a divisional format for its 2020 and 2021 football seasons. The conference will determine the procedures for determining the participants in the American Athletic Conference Football Championship at a later date.

Memphis looks to have the strongest schedule; while SMU, not playing the Florida schools the easiest

Don't like missing Navy and Temple. Guess I won't have another local away date until... ...2023.

ECU away is 3.5 hours. Meh. I might go depending on how the team is doing.
