RE: 20-21 exempt tournaments
Most of MU's tournaments are set for the next few years.

Advocare Classic in Orlando this year, Mohegan Sun HOF tournament in 2020, Charleston (S.C.) Classic in 2021 and a return to Maui in 2023. Nothing for 2022 yet.

The Mohegan Sun HOF next year is headlining a very blah slate (other than Marquette ;-). Minnesota, UCF, Marquette, and Rhode Island

the HOF next year would have been great..... last year....

Do understand it for Marquette though with Howard gone after this year...

Thrilled to have ND back on the schedule. This was supposed to be announced over the summer, but - ironically - the UConn news broke and the announcement got delayed. Glad it finally got released.

boy if Marquette has a Gavitt game those years....
20 conference games
3 exempt tournament games
2 Gavitt/B12 challenge games
Wisconsin
Notre Dame

that's 27 games right there..

Looks like this is the game plan going forward, since the home and home with UCLA happens next year and the year after. So we're locked up with a pretty strong schedule with a similar makeup for the next 4-5 years.

That's a blockbuster schedule. Very exciting or MU. Congrats on getting ND on the slate.

That's a full dance card, no doubt, but I also think that's generally what the future looks like for high-major programs as their conferences go to 20 games and sign a challenge or two. After the conference slate, early season tournament, any conference challenge(s), and a couple of tune-up buy games you'll see teams only having a low-single-digit number of OOC slots to actually play with.

saw that the Wooden Legacy going to 4 teams starting next season.

Think we're going to see more and more a trend away from the 8 team/3 game setup and more to 4/2. Much more of a known SOS aspect for one.

Maybe for the mainland tourneys. I still think the island tourneys stay at 8.

I think the bigger teams are liking more the 4 team setup. Maybe your Maui and Atlantis will stick 8/3 setup- but everything else with major conference teams are gonig to go 4/2.
