OOC Performance
Great start for the CAA.

14-4 against DI schools. Loss to Temple, UNC, UVA, San Jose State. Only 1 bad loss. For what was supposed to be a down year, fantastic start by all. UVA was the first real blowout, which is acceptable. Hopefully everyone can keep up the strong play. It finally looks like the conference floor is raising (Despite Elon looking real down).

RE: OOC Performance
The record is great, but it's hard to rank conferences this early. The NCAA hasn't updated the NET yet. The CAA is only 16th of 32 in the Sagarin, which ranked the CAA lower than the NET last season. Here's this week's schedule:

Monday November 11:
Kent State at Towson 7 p.m. FloHoops
Elon at Georgia Tech 7:30 p.m. ACC Network Extra

Tuesday November 12:
Campbell at UNCW 7 p.m. FloHoops
William & Mary at Wofford 7 p.m.
Northeastern at UMass 7 p.m. ESPN+

Wednesday November 13:
Shenandoah at James Madison 4 p.m. FloHoops
Hofstra at Bucknell 7 p.m.
Drexel at Rutgers 8 p.m. BTN Plus
Oklahoma State at Charleston 9 p.m. CBSSN

Thursday November 14:
Towson at Florida 7 p.m. ESPN2

Friday November 15:
New York Tech at Hofstra 5 p.m. FloHoops
Elon at Michigan 7 p.m. BTN
Hampton at William & Mary 7 p.m. FloHoops

Saturday November 16:
James Madison at George Mason TBA ESPN+
Old Dominion at Northeastern 1 p.m. FloHoops
Delaware at Lafayette 5 p.m.
Drexel at Stephen F. Austin 6:30 p.m.
UNCW at Davidson 7 p.m. ESPN+

Sunday November 17: None

Home vs. Division I: 5
Home vs. non-Division I: 2
Away: 11 (at least 3 require flying, 7 are at conferences that are always or usually better than the CAA)

RE: OOC Performance
A solid record shows the depth of the league will be pretty good this year. Every win will help our conference, even by the team that eventually finishes in last place.

We haven't exactly had any great wins, so it's fairly hard to find the height the conference will reach this season, but this week should really answer some questions. Looking at the schedule Evan posted, there will be multiple chances to take own a top 7 conference team, as well as a couple other very good mid major programs. Coming out of this week 8-8 or better against D1 is what I'm hoping for.

I agree this week will really help shine where the conference is at. Some great opportunities ahead. Keep winning the games we should and stay competitive against the higher competition.

RE: OOC Performance
Towson played their first two games without three players, and I don't know why. Second leading scorer Tobias Howard, third leading scorer Nakye Sanders, and redshirt freshman/sophomore Nicolas Timberlake did not play last week. Timberlake got injured after his ninth game last season, and I thought Towson said the NCAA approved a medical redshirt even though he exceeded one-fourth of his team's games. Towson trails 35-32 at halftime hosting Kent State. Sanders scored 3 in 8 minutes in his first half of the season, whereas Howard and Timberlake still haven't played.

Georgia Tech leads Elon 10-6 with 9:49 left in the first half, so both teams are struggling offensively.

Towson blew a lead in a close game and lost 84-80 in overtime. Georgia Tech beat Elon 64-41. Elon became the first Division I team from 2010-2011 to the present to attempt at least 74 field goals and score 41 or fewer points. The College Basketball at Sports-Reference Play Index found one result, which was when non-Division I Lakeland did that in a 98-27 loss at Green Bay on November 17, 2017.

Elon is bad.

Tough loss for Towson, was really hoping the CAA would pick up a win there

Elon shot 21.6% from the field and 10% from 3 point range (3-30). Ouch.

RE: OOC Performance
Towson was leading late and choked a bit to go to OT and then got buried. They were only a 1 point favorite so an OT game was not surprising. But definitely would have been a nice win over a team expected to be top 4 in the CAA

Lines for tonight:

NU -2
UNCW -4.5
W&M +11

Tonight will be a good good challenge for the conference. Should all be challenging but help see if we are as good as the start has been or not.

That one hurts.. feels like it could be one of those "coulda shoulda" moments in the CAA OOC schedule.

Not sure who set the line on our game. Hindsights 20/20, but that's a big spread for a mid major matchup

2-1 is a nice result for the night.

UNCW won in OT
Northeastern lost on the road trying to get the Boston 3 game sweep
W&M with a nice upset on the road.

The NU loss was another coulda shoulda games... I don't think UMass will be that good this season.

Drexel falls by 6 after a cold 2nd half (8-29).

Ok State up 10 on CofC about halfway through the 2nd half.

Tough night looks to end 0-3.

RE: OOC Performance
Another good night for the CAA.

Hofstra beat non D1, Elon played Michigan close than expected but still got beat bad, W&M won at home over Hampton.

4-0 start for W&M is a pleasant occurrence. After their off season this is a great way to kick off their new era. 3 of those wins on the road. Way to go
