I agree, not sure how that is relevant to WMU situation. We should of won 8 games in 2017.

He says this senior class saved his bacon by sticking through the transition. He's complimenting PJ's recruits, and said he inherited a lot of talent. He didn't say WMU was supposed to only win 2 games. Then he continued speculating on why new hires have trouble, and said it's either the talent isn't there or the talent didn't buy in, and talked about his past teams where he didn't inherent great talent.

I didn't even watch it. I have trouble watching the softballs fly up to the podium, followed by him saying "You know?" 100 times. Follow that up with coach-speak about how proud he is of the team. Really, not worth watching.

They are highly worth watching. He talks a lot more nuts and bolts than Fleck or Cubit did. Fleck was entertaining because of the rah-rah stuff, but I could not always understand what Cubit was saying.

The ONE thing that stands out with Lester...

He really relates well with his players. His guys are buying into his system and his style. He could have easily lost a number of these guys to the portal. Defensively alone we could have lost a TON of the limited talent that we actually do have...

He's NOT PJ... he's not a fiery rah rah rah type... he's a tactician. He sees the game as a field of opportunity and decision making along with calculated adjustments. However he's also not capable of going out on the field and executing for his players.

I have spent quite a bit of time being pissed about this staff. We wan't to see results. When you sit back and stop letting emotion drive reality you can see that there is still transition happening with this program. NOBODY was going to come into this program after PJ and keep up with what PJ was doing. PJ was and is an anomaly... There was going to be a time of transition regardless...

We should be happy that we have a guy at the helm that is holding together what was learned behind the scenes with the use of the players councils and with keeping with PJ level traditions inside the program. Sure we gave back the row the boat garbage... but the FAMILY feel and the way these players are working together to continue the energy of the PROGRAM was NOT lost...

WE need to let Lester get his PROGRAM together. We aren't far off... I said before... look at how far we have come from even last year. We aren't getting smoked by Toledo this year... we still have work to do... but I feel like we are MUCH closer than we were a year ago.

Lets keep the recruit pipeline going and see where this current staff can take us.

GO BRONCOS!

Who is shooting down his successes?!? There aren't many, but I don't see people shooting them down.

Recent success (challenging for MAC West titles, beating our rival, competing/winning bowl games) should remain the standard. He's been given the resources and contract to deliver - which is what Cubit fans always lamented he never had.

If you think about it, us Bronco fans probably got very accustomed to a new coach making a quick splash within three years:

- Al Molde won the MAC in Year 2.

- Gary Darnell engineered one of the biggest turnarounds in college football in Year 1 (+6 net wins) and got us to the MACC by Year 3.

- Bill Cubit engineered the biggest turnaround in college football in Year 1 (+6 net wins) and got 8 wins in Year 2.

- PJ Fleck got 8 wins in Years 2 and 3.
