Obviously your tie ins are everywhere, so a P5 team is actually possible and probably the goal... But if you're ECU or Tulsa, that may not be a realistic fantasy.

(NY6 ACCESS Bowl, Birmingham, and Military bowl aside)
Who would you want If you were playing in Hawaii, Boca, badboy Mowers, Cure or Frisco bowl?

Is it basically the highest ranked team out of the other G5 conferences? Or do certain SBC, and CUSA teams have better names?

App State, Army, BYU, or maybe Marshall if they win out their season.

...oops, just looked. Just lost to Middle Tenn so scratch Marshall.

I am thinking about Alabama or Clemson. ECU needs to defeat Oklahoma or Georgia to get there but the alcohol is flowing this morning and I need to dream. 04-cheers

I would think for most fans a P5 school is the goal. Aside from the ones you mentioned, the AAC has backup agreements that can also pit teams against power opponents. Beyond that, my family likes to go to warm weather locations with lots of available activities. My personal preference is good shopping, but as the only female I often get outvoted. We also try to inject some culture and history into our trips with museums and tours...often walking, Segway, bike, boat, haunted... I wish more bowl game festivities weren't so far in advance, but I get why they are. We'd do a 5k/fun walk day of or day before game day, cookoff, endurance contests...my kids love that kind of stuff.

ETA: For us, once you get beyond the P5 location takes preference over opponent.

bowl opponent reward? I don't care who my team is/would be playing...it would be that my team IS playing and hopefully they win whatever bowl game they might play in.

I want to play one of 3 ACC teams (Pitt, UVA, or VT). It's personal.

I also wouldn't mind Air Force, USM, or BYU.

The measuring stick for every program in Texas is Texas.

UT hasn't played us once - not once - since the Southwest Conference days.

So the University of Texas is No. 1 on that list for SMU.

Location first then opponent

Team that are historically good have more interest.
BSU, BYU , Marshall, SMiss, North Texas and App State come to mind with name recognition
