Exclamation Rank the AAC after Week 6
1. Cincinnati- Did something no AAC team could do for 3 years
2. SMU- Great come-from-behind win to reach 6-0
3. Memphis- Solid win against ULM but still untested
4. UCF- 19-1 in their last 20 AAC games
5. Tulane- Great win on the road over solid Army team
6. Temple- Good road win over improving ECU team
7. Navy- Get that CIC Trophy, boys!
8. ECU- Looks to be improving every week
9. Houston- Looking forward to seeing life post-D’Eriq
10. Tulsa- So close to getting over the hump
11. South Florida- Not last by virtue of win over UConn
12. UConn - In last place by virtue of loss to usf

True on the gap at the bottom. UConn is ranked 153 over at Real Time RPI. The second-worst team, East Carolina, is ranked 97.

If we didn't have UConn this conference would rank higher in the ACC.

RE: Rank the AAC after Week 6
This thread is interesting, but as the season progresses, this will work itself out in actual wins and losses. I believe that season results so far have taught us to respect SMU and Tulane, two teams that were not in the picture before the first game was played.

Who would have predicted that UCF would have two losses by now, or that Houston would choose to put some of their best players in "time out"? Some of this stuff can't be predicted.

I enjoy reading these rankings, although people's fandom tends to color their voting pretty heavily.

If UConn can beat UMass and USF can beat BYU, every AAC school will be .500 or better OOC.

The top 7 in this league is unprecedented good. At the same time there are probably 3 solid choices for #1. I'm not totally comfortable with any list I came up with , but I'll go with this for now.

RE: Rank the AAC after Week 6
SMU - 6-0 - ranked 24 at this time.
Memphis - 5-0
Cinn - 4-1 - nice win over UCF.
Temple - 4-1
Tulane - 4-1
UCF - 4-2 - will drop from 18 this week - cracks in armor - young QB.
Navy - 3-1 - nice win - AF down - Army and ND to go.
ECU - 3-3
Tulsa - 2-3 - blew golden opportunity against SMU - need FG kicker.
Houston - 2-3 - your QB QUIT!!!
USF - 2-3 - beat UConn.
UConn - 1-4 - say hello to FCS next year if FB survives at all.
