CSU the outlier in better start times

"Hawaii, a football-only member of the MW, is not part of the conference’s TV package, Thompson said. It earns about $2.3 million a year for pay-per-view broadcasts of its games throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Thompson expects the new media-rights deals to generate significantly more money than the current contracts but not enough to match what Hawaii earns under its current deal."

He said the same thing back this summer I believe—so it sounds like the range has not moved and is pretty locked in. I imagine it’s now just a matter of deciding whether to take the maximum deal—or a bit less, but with better start times.

I always thought 1.5 to 2 mil would be the range for their TV deal. That still looks like the range. At 1-4 Col state does not look like the program the AAC needs. Much better to stay in the East.

There is a reason the conference had decided to stand pat at 11.

Money wise the AAC is better than the MWC and should always get more as the AAC schools are in larger populated areas. More eyeballs more money. Also, the MWC is very concerned aboUt start times. 8:30 start times in colder areas just kills the attendance.
