2 of the top 4 freshmen RBs are in the AAC
Elijah Collins, MSU (5 games played, 413 yards rushing, 5.3 YPC)
Kenneth Gainwell, Memphis (4 games played, 411 yards rushing, 6.6 YPC)
Javian Hawkins, Louisville (4 games played, 390 yards rushing 5.9 YPC)
Re'Mahn Davis, Temple (4 games played, 346 yards rushing 5.8 YPC)

Gainwell is #2 in all purpose yards behind CSU WR Dante Wright
Davis is #1 in rushing yards among true freshmen RBs

Davis is the next coming of Joe Morris - for those old enough to remember who he is. He matches Morris in both stature and style of play. He's not a "once he's in the backfield he's gone" type. Rather, he's a "you can't stop him from getting to the backfield" type.

Gainwell added 209 yards rushing on Saturday vs. ULM. Right now, his freshman stats are the best ever for any Memphis running back ( including DeAngelo Williams).
