The AAC - at 3.7 - would have a higher average SP+ rating per school than the ACC has, when considering that there are 15 ACC schools and only 11 AAC schools (not including the ex-conns):

ACC: 4.0 (.27 per ACC school)

AAC: 3.7 (.34 per AAC school, not including "ex-conn")

So, in this respect, the average AAC may surpass the average ACC team with respect to SP+, by the end of the season, when the soon to be "ex-conn" (UConn) is factored out of the equation.

Wait...you're taking an average and averaging it?

This doesn't really work, but nice try.

Still...point of the original poster is dead on. UConn is an anchor for the conference. Not sure what we'll do without them.

What happens if you drop the the top 1-2 teams and bottom 1-2 teams from each conference ? Remove the outliers

...Tulane used to sit in the 90 to 100 range not too long ago. It's a little better than UConn right now, but we can't throw stones.

Going back 10 years:

Randy Edsall
2009: 8-5
2010: 8-5

Paul Pasqualoni
2011: 5-7
2012: 5-7
2013: 3-9

Bob Diaco:
2014: 2-10
2015: 6-7
2016: 3-9

Randy Edsall
2017: 3-9
2018: 1-11

I think that's about on par with the Scelfo, Buffett Bob, CuJo years. I'm a pretty young Tulane fan but I'm pretty sure that's the worst decade Tulane has ever had....and that says alot.
