Well, we love you all, too. Can’t we all just have fun here?

UConn fans don’t hate the AAC. It was an administrative decision that none of us had any control over.

I honestly don't think anybody here hates UConn. We just think your admin are dumbasses, and they're killing football for you.

Can't find Wagner in that ranking. That would give me a clue.

I would say they are killing it, but they killed it years ago. Pasqualoni? Diaco? Dang. If any of you knew how we could rebound in this conference, we would take the advice. But the damage is done.

The AAC in its current football configuration is actually harder than the Big East when it had WVU, Pitt, Louisville, Cincinnati, Rutgers, UConn, USF, and Syracuse. And that was a “power conference” in today’s parlance.

We can’t compete in this league in football as we can’t lure players this far up north as we are now G5 and not P5. Be happy you can all do it and that this is a great football league. The writing was on the wall for us, though. No use ignoring it.

Our bread and butter is basketball. Time to get back to NYC recruiting and back to where our strong point is.

It stinks to leave this football behind, but we were never claiming that NY6 access bowl. Sometimes a school needs to face reality. We did and it was actually a smart realization.

RE: Can UConn beat any of the FCS Top 25?
It wasn't UConn's conference decision that created animosity on the boards. We may not agree that B-ball has a better future in the Big Priest but, as a basketball and expense driven decision, it was defensible. It was the delusion, stated by many UConn posters, that football would become competitive that was so insane. Some even posted that the AAC was holding UConn football back.

As they say, there is nobody more blind than those who refuse to see.

UConn started this decade with a big head start on the likes of Temple and Memphis. Any number of quality MAC coaches would have jumped to UConn and kept the program respectable. PJ Fleck or Dave Clawson could be there right now. Your administration screwed the pooch and, almost as if to cover it up, then blew it all up.

If Tulane and SMU can figure it out, so can you guys. Just need to be able to recruit some southerners to balance out the team.

RE: Can UConn beat any of the FCS Top 25?
I personally have been hard on UConn, but I go back to 1979 as a BIG EAST fan, loved the addition of football to the BIG EAST, hated the decision to eave Penn State out of BIG EAST, big fan of this conference... But most of all, hate the fact that Boston College is doing what UConn administrators and Connecticut politicians think couldn't be done in the North.

Kansas... Kansas hired a football coach when it became obvious that Basketball alone was not enough any longer to be a Nationally relevant brand in sports year round.

That's what gets under my skin about the UConn decision. I wish UConn well, if New Mexico State can survive as an independent then so should UConn.
