Might be a tough sell vs. Florida-Georgia depending on how things shake out.

Not sure what to think about UC. Last year I thought they flew in under the radar. They got demolished by UCF though on their biggest stage. Only one loss this year, but again they got blown to smithereens on the big stage. I know they're good, but they've laid some major league eggs over the past two seasons. Not sure what the problem is.

They did go to Jacksonville for the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party last year. I would think they wouldn't go twice in a row, but if its the only game that week they find appealing, they probably will. Or do some silly FCS trip or something.

UC has lost 3 games the last two years.

They lost on the Road this year to one of the 3 best teams in the country (a team that has boatraced teams ranked 29, 38 and 39 in SP+).

They lost on the road to a top 5-10 caliber team that was at full strength (prior to the Milton injury).

They lost a weird game at Temple in OT where UC had points taken off the board because the refs decided they shouldn't have ran the play because it still should have been a TV timeout (mind you the ref had blown the whistle to start and it was on TV at the time) and Temple was given a gift TD on an incomplete pass.

Those are the "eggs" UC has laid the last two seasons.

Sure man. The 8-5 Owls were better than the 11-2 Bearcats. That flukie home OT win says it all.

Temple is hard to gauge. They beat Maryland but now MD looks like a dumpster fire, somehow lost to Buffalo, but then comes back and flat out dominates GT - even if GT is pretty bad this year.

Oh don’t worry you’ll know soon, after ECU Thursday we get Memphis/SMU/UCF back to back to back. I could see any of those 4 games going either way but regardless we’ll know what kind of team we have.

Whatever happens I’m gonna be along for the whole ride.

RE: Rate the American Week 5
1) SMU: Undefeated.
2) Memphis: Also undefeated, but SMU's win at TCU is more impressive than Ole Miss.
3) UCF: Probably still the best team in the AAC, but that Pitt game was a head-scratcher.
4) Tulane: Feels weird putting them this high, but I think they've earned it for now.
5) Cincinnati: Everybody gets blown out by Ohio State.
6) Houston: Has played a brutal schedule with lots of internal turmoil. Still a tough out.
7) Navy: Navy is Navy. Beat Air Force.
8) Temple: Buffalo puts you here. Plain and simple. Next week you'll likely be more 5-6ish.
9) Tulsa: About where we thought they'd be. Not an easy game.
10) ECU: Finally got over the road hump. 3-2. On the upswing, but going into a brutal stretch of the schedule.
11) USF: Really, really disappointing.
12) UCONN: Go away.

1. UCF - Still get to be on top until proven otherwise. A loss to LSU and coming out against Pitt flat are 2 losses in 3 years. Still undefeated in the AAC and on top until proven otherwise.
2. SMU - May actually be the best team in the conference. Just have them below UCF because I'm a homer 04-rock
3. Memphis - Still undefeated but hard to tell what their season will shape up to be.

4. Cincinnati - Will be interested to see as the season goes on if Ohio State is really just that good or not.
5. Tulane - That feels really weird to type their name anywhere this high

6. Temple - Seem to be on a roller coaster, but could play spoiler in the East still for sure.
7. Navy - See Temple, but in the west.
8. Houston - See Navy

9. Tulsa
10. ECU - Swap these two in whatever order.

11. UConn
12. usf - interested to watch the bottom dweller pillow fight this week.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Can't beat that SEC matchup unless we're undefeated and hopefully cracking the Top 20 by then.

1. UCF - Looking for their 20th consecutive AAC win this Friday
2. SMU - Outside of UCF, the Mustangs have looked the best of anyone
3. Memphis - Good win over your kryptonite
4. Cincinnati - Nice pummeling of one of the C-USA favorites
5. Temple - Nice bounce back after baffling loss to Buffalo
6. Tulane - Can't wait to see the Wave hit the meat of their schedule
7. Houston - Nice pummeling of one of the C-USA favorites
8. Navy - Time to rebound against AFA
9. Tulsa - Looked great against Bye
10. East Carolina - Solid road win over an ODU team that gave Va Tech fits
11. UConn - ConFLiCT bookended by blowout losses to UCF
12. usf - The cows look to be getting worse

I don't think we're better than Tulsa. Their win over Wyoming is better than anything we've done. Plus zero FCS matchups vs two.
