Not sure what I was looking for but I saw no blue Ts that looked like what UTFan was describing. Lots of gold in the end zone, too, so hats off to UTFan.
I was surprised at how many BYU fans were at the game. I asked one of them about it and he told me that they were mostly alums who now live within 3-4 hours of Toledo. Because BYU rarely plays this far east, this might be their only chance to go to a game. He said a lot of LDS members are BYU supporters and they show up as well.
UT had 301 yards of offense in 2nd half. UT went up tempo in 2nd half and it did gas BYU to some degree. Coaching staff made some very nice adjustments on O line in 2nd half. Atariwa finally got some significant minutes at G. Guadagni played clutch in 2nd half.
Obviously the pass rush needs work but the LB play is decent and UT did prevent big plays for the most part except for the Hifo bomb early in 2nd half.
This was a great win for UT.
Overall I think the coaching staff did a great job preparing a game plan. Great coaching as the penalties were reduced to 3 total.
agreed. With less than 5 minutes left in the 3rd Q, Toledo was down two scores. The bad pass by Wilson and Robinson's interception at the end didn't hurt any but just still being in the game at that time was a coaching accomplishment.
Looked like Wilson's injury might have happened with an attempt at tackling Robinson.
Though the game ended on two big mistakes, for the most part I thought it was a game of terrific individual plays.
I was pleased with all the coaches. I just wish we attempted more downfield passes particularly towards the end when we got predictable in our play calling.
I’ve been anti Mitch running the ball but wow is he a weapon for us. Also seems like he protects himself better when running.
Koback needs to carry a football around campus next week like in the movie, The Program. Way too talented to be a fumble machine.
Yeah with all the raves about Koback after last season (which were warranted), after his fumble at Kentucky, which basically took us out of that game, you kind of felt like it was a problem he’d fix. Doesn’t look like that’s the case. Can’t put the ball on the turf! Seymour needs to be the one getting most of the carries until Bryant can be trusted.
Was reported on twitter that Senior Bowl scouts were at the game to look at Jordan Fisher ... as a fullback. Also tweeted that the coaching staff informed them about Gilliam and now they are looking at him too. Seems kinda strange to not know about him coming into the game, but at least they know now.
Also was reported that Seymour's uncle just died and his family was all in Chicago for the funeral. Even more amazing performance playing under those circumstances.

Great Job. This team finally showed some metal. There were multiple times today, when momentum began to swing in an all too familiar way, but these hung tough and played it out to the end. Nice to see Seymour with a big day today. With exception of a lack of consistent pressure in BYU's backfield, our defense looked like a real defense today. Our freshman kicker is still perfect.

Mitch did look better tonight than he has looked all year. Maybe he’s finally relaxing a trusting himself and his team

Trying to make the tackle on the long punt return by Hifo. You can see Flint down in the background. More power to him for helping save a TD and hopefully a quick recovery.

He got blocked from the side and went down awkwardly. Looks to be his plant leg that's injured ... not sure if that is good or bad.

Thanks for posting the photo. Trust that Flint’s status will be addressed in Monday’s Coach’s Show.

Just re-watched the game last night. Thanks for posting, East. The Glass Bowl absolutely erupts when Robinson makes that huge INT at the end. Relive it yourself at the 2:05:13 mark. Sound all the way UP!

It roared!
Freshman McDonald is interesting to follow on that play. First he charges in on the QB like he's some sort of LB, though promptly bouncing off the biggest guy on the BYU line. Then after the interception. Hands STRAIGHT up, no way he's going to get called for a block in the back, just standing here ref, in the way of that big bruiser.

That kid might have a future.
McDonald also defended a lot of passes. Robinson got the INT, but McDonald may have been the secondary MVP.
Wasn't able to watch the game Saturday, but watched the replay today. The DBs did a much better job of finding the football rather than just face-guarding the WRs. MacDonald (sp?) had some excellent coverage as did Womack. Along the defensive front Desjuan Johnson really played well.
