i was talking about this in the other thread... absolutely no one (except tulsa fans) is giving tulsa any credit what so ever this offseason
ive seen 2 interviews with haith this offseason and feel pretty confident about tulsa chances to make the NCAA tourney
Most of us are probably going with what we have read on various websites forecasting the AAC basketball season.
Can you give us a break down of Tulsa's 2019-20 rotation, player by player?
I would love to add Tulsa to the list of teams competing for post-season play, and would love even more to be able to put the Golden Hurricanes above the Huskies on that list.
i'm not saying to rank them high or anything but a lot of people aren't even seeing them as a threat ---
overall notes- finished 7th last season, on a 18 win season
note-able returning players-
Martins Igbanu (PF/C)- 4year starter, coach thinks he is 1st team all conference calibur and one of the best bigs in the conference
Jeriah Horne (PF)- touted Nebraska transfer, did 10pt per last season despite not starting. will have expanded role this season
other notable returnees: lawson korita (G/returning starter ) Elijah Joiner (G/heavily used last season)
note-able new players-
Reggie Jones- 6'6 G, 10pt transfer from WMU, sat out last season- Coach says he is as good as Jeffries (tulsa best player who left)
Emmanuel Ugboh- 6'11 245lb C- Touted Juco- offers from Arizona, UConn, Pitt, Kansas State, Ole Miss, among others.
Brandon Rachal- Former LSU 4*/Juco- 6'5 wing (16pts 9rbs in juco)
Keyshawn Embery- 4* freshman transfer from Arkansas/ 6'3 G.. known for elite scoring and shooting in HS, but shot poorly at Arkansas as a fresh so he transferred back home (*will need waiver- coaches think he will get it)
Isaiah Hill- 3* freshman 6'0 pg- podcast i listened to coach kept praising him as one of the best freshman recruits tulsa has ever gotten, noted how he was the starting PG of the #1 ranked aau team/Adidas champion..
--there are other returnee and new players they added, but they arent noteworthy enough that i feel a need to mention them
coach expectations: lost jeffries but feels he has the talent to replace him plus some, call this his most talented team at tulsa, better than his ncaa and nit years.. says the last 2 seasons were leading up to this year
