Miami now down 49-5 in Q2. Bucks have scored an unreal 42 points in Q2. Crazy.

Miami is at least not embarrassing itself today. Ohio State is just better. We had a winnable game in front of us today and we choked on it badly.

49-5 is worse than any loss we had. You're reaching pal.

RE: My takeaways - week 4
1.) We didn't choke. Syracuse out-recruits us EASILY. Everyone on the main boards except for 1 picked SU. As stated, couple weeks ago they were ranked, and they finished ranked last year. We were in it late into the 3rd Quarter. Yes, it was winnable, but SU would win it 8 out of 10 times.
2.) We will do fine in the MAC. Is this a MAC Championship team? No, but we need to ultimately progress to 8 wins. I think we'll get 6-6 or 7-5, but I expect to be surprised. Ohio & Toledo will shred us, but I think we can beat everyone else on the schedule. I'm scared of Eastern too, but we can beat them.
3.) I don't feel like it's the end of the world losing to Syracuse. Those thinking 8 or 9 wins - Did you guys have this as a win?

Losing to Syracuse isn't the end of the world, I think everyone is more disappointed that the game was clearly there for the taking.

It was and it wasn't. SU wins a 7 game series, probably sweeps. This isn't a Rutgers or Kansas.

Maybe so. I don't think a championship quality team gives up 50, not even close.

For sure we're not winning the MAC. But the goal is 8 wins.

It's not all transitive, I saw improvement on defense, and we will continue to see improvement from game to game. In the meantime, we'll outscore everyone.

1.) We went 2-2 OOC (Ws not against great competition, but we looked good & seldom do MAC teams go 3-1 or 4-0 OOC)
2.) Definitely see 6 wins minimum. no maybe there
3.) Central won't be easy, but we s/b big favorites going in

The wins (both at home) looked great, the losses (both on the road to P5s) looked bad.
Let's see how we do vs. our MAC brethren where it really matters.
Are we okay with giving up 103 combined points to two mediocre power 5 teams? Getting blown off the fuel against anyone who resembles a decent team? Are we okay with this team coming out flat down 21-0 against these teams? It embarrassing. Tired of this crap.
I love this fan base, but don’t always understand them. Hold these coaches accountable for gods sakes.
I don’t care who the coaches are, or where they played or coached previously..I want to see competitive football against average p5 schools. I don’t think that is too much to ask.
But the running backs look good and the MAC sucks, so we’ll be okay.

Michigan St out-recruits us SEVERELY & 3-1 right now. They're certainly not mediocre, would most likely finish 2nd only to Wisconsin in Big 10 west.
Syracuse finished ranked last season, and was ranked 2 weeks ago. They're not great, but they're decent. Now that they've faced Clemson, they should be favorite in most of their games remaining.
You're putting too much weight into these games. I've seen SunBelt and MAC Champions get wrecked by average P5 teams. I've seen bad Sunbelt and MAC teams beat P5 teams.
You're right: the defense HAS TO IMPROVE. And I think it is, certainly from last season at least.

I don’t care about last season, I don’t care about rankings, I don’t care about recruits. I’m talking about they EYE test. I’m referring to play on the field. If we don’t improve, we lose Saturday to our rivals.

Better tackling, getting sacks. Maintaining 3rd and long and not having the opposing team get the first.
I get GA St was bad, but we didn't hold even bottom-FBS-offenses to 10 points last year.
I doubt we get into a shootout vs Bowling Green St this year, for example.

Ohio finished 1-3 out of conference. Got 'embarrassed' 45-25 by a SunBelt team.
They're picked to win the MAC.
Can we stop all the negative comments?
