Too early to tell---UCF may be the exception---but it appears there are several good teams in the AAC---but perhaps no really great dominant team. UCF is the only one Im not so sure about---I need to see them against a real heavyweight. But this may be the kind of year where the AAC champ has a couple of losses and is the team that improves the most over the course of the season.

Let me put it this way.............

#5 Ohio State beat FAU at home 45-21 with their first string in the entire game. #18 UCF beat FAU 48-14 on the road with their first string taken out after the third quarter, and the game called with 5:00 minutes remaining and UCF with the ball 1st and ten at the FAU 49 yard line.
I’m not a huge transitive guy but that’s all we have after two games. Oh yeah.....did I mention that’s it’s the same Ohio State team that trashed Cincy 42-0?

Everyone that’s said stuff about that game said that FAU didn't start scoring until OSU pulled their starters...who told you OSU held their starters in for an entire game that they led 21-0?

I think Ohio State didn't pull their starters in the first quarter, but they did keep it really simple the rest of the game so Cincinnati couldn't prepare for them. We aren't top 5 like Ohio State because we don't have a Milton at QB yet, hopefully Dillon Gabriel gets there. We are solid 13-17 range and deep everywhere. I don't know that Temple is #2 based on beating Bucknell but I would say Memphis is #2 right now and the team that is usually our biggest pain in the ...

FAU recap: QUOTABLE

“Two different games.” Said head coach Lane Kiffin. “Obviously we started off very poor, (to) start 28-0 like that in a half of a quarter, (played) about as bad as you can in all phases of the game. Then, (we) played a lot better after that, 21-17 we out scored them. Obviously that’s not a moral victory, but that does show our players. If we do things right, especially defensively _ their starters were still in (and) our defense did a really good job after that.”

On UCF QBs:
According to post game press conference, Wimbush wasn't 100% but could have played if the situation got out of hand.

So technically, Wimbush was named the starter before the season started.... One could argue we beat FAU with our backup QB. I wont hold that stance, I'll admit the QB conversation continues. Gabriel looked good but also had a lot of true freshman mistakes. Report is that Mack might be back for Stanford. So now we have a 3 man QB competition again. Mack knows the system and has taken the most snaps under center of the 3 QBs.

The fan choice is definitely Gabriel but honestly, I trust Huepel and he's earned our trust. Mack, Wimbush, or Gabriel, Go Knights!

I like Gabriel too.

Crazy DG could be our 4th string QB. 1)KZ 2) Mack 3) Wimbush 4) DG

He is the future since he is most like KZ with cool confidence and accuracy.

I also trust Heup to make the right decision. After all he was a QB that won a NC with Oklahoma. It's just too early for him to commit.

To clarify, my response wasn’t intended to say Temple is #2 now; but we have won more games in this conference won a championship won the East twice and had the second best conference record last year. My statement was a rebuttal to the OP who said Memphis has been second best. As for this year, we will see.

My man, OSU was up 28-0 10 minutes into that game and then not only started rotating in their 3 deep, according to Day they purposely were running a more basic offense specifically to not putting stuff on tape for the UC game.

They cleaned our clock good, make no mistake, but they were doing it with full force. Those games aren't remotely comparable.

Temple is always tough, would be great for the conference if you take care of Maryland this weekend and we beat Stanford.
