Guessing it might be either late this week or sometime next week... Anyone heard the specific date yet?

RE: schedule release?
I know TV broadcast schedule was important to many. Looks like there's 18 conference games on big Fox and 4 games on regular CBS this year.

I always think that is pretty close to meaningless. There is little/no difference between a game on Fox/CBS and a game on ESPN. The ratings potential for both is pretty much equal. You look at the end of season top viewed games, and ESPN has a majority of those.

Pretty close to meaningless to me as well. What's important to me is 1. I can watch all MUBB road games in my own living room. 2. That I can watch almost all other BE games.

Beyond that, I think it's great if games are on FOX/CBS and if not that almost all of them are on FS1. But that's just icing on the cake. I'm happy as long as I never have to deal with having to stream a game or having a good BE matchup game on a regional channel that I can't get (I don't see any decent matchup that I'd be interested in being on the regionals, so that's good).

RE: schedule release?
1 thing I think is weird with Nova- their schedule is extremely back loaded in number of games....

They have "only" 6 November games, and only 11 games before Christmas. But they have 20 games from Dec 30 on- every single week 2 games- the 18 conference games, a game with UConn, and a game with Temple.

RE: schedule release?
The Big East continues to market itself as the leader of all conferences in network broadcasts (nationally televised games). I'm sure that will make UConn happy (especially since many of their games will be behind a paywall).

There is absolutely no difference in a basketball game being on Fox/CBS, and being on ESPN. You look at the top rated games in a year, and almost all are on ESPN....

Also, the only games that will possibly be behind a paywall are the garbage OOC games. There is little to no change in the AAC TV contract from last year- except ESPN3 games are now ESPN+ games. Last year- UConn had every single conference game on TV.

Only five of UConn's AAC conference games were on ESPN or ESPN2. Every other contest was on ESPNews, ESPNU or CBSSN. They had as many OOC games on ESPN/ESPN2 as they did conference games (Syracuse, Arizona, Florida State, Iowa).

I do not agree with this. I think that is a function of what teams are playing. I mean, weren't over half the 10 top games in ratings all Duke games and the rest Michigan games?

Put those on network tv and see what happens to the ratings...

but those games were not behind a paywall, and they won't be this season.

games on CBS you are right being better than ESPN-
CBS- 1.540 million
ESPN- 1.199 million

but Fox- nope
Fox- 894k

oh and as you see-
CBS down 105k year to year
ESPN up 147k year to year
Fox up 27k year to year

Again, this is content related. ESPN had Duke and other high demand teams from ACC and B12 among others. CBS gets to cherry pick only 35 marquee games (many are ones that FOX would have run).

If you take the same games and play them on FOX, they'd probably be similar to CBS and I believe probably higher than ESPN (Except then ESPN wouldn't be promoting them during the rest of their tv lineup of course...).
