Based on what we've seen so far and who they've played. Last year doesn't matter at all.

why doesnt it matter...as the season goes along, the previous season matters less and less....
but after 1 game a lot of preseason metrics have to be used for ourselves and the opponents we play

ucf is 2 years undefeated in the regular season..hard to ignore

I think that only the top 6 are clear after week 1. After that, the next 5 are essentially interchangeable.

Things may look dramatically different after week 4.

IMO, SMU has earned a spot in the top 6. Ark State not a terrible team, and they went out a got a decent week 1 road win.

Crapshoot for the rest of us, as most teams either lost to really good teams or beat really bad ones.

Exceptions:
ECU - Not sure NC State is going to be a great team this year based on the amount of defensive stops we DID get.
Tulane - Either they have gotten really good, or FIU has turned back into garbage.
