Congrats UCF... as I said over the summer... UCF can plug in any of the 3 QBs and win... AAC 3-0 on this first night of the season!!!

Gabriel ran this offense in HS, which is why he seems so confident out on the field and makes pretty quick decisions.

He still needs work but WOW...haven't see a UCF True Freshmen QB look like that in his first game since Daunte Culpepper. (Jeff Godfrey played well in his first game too).

UCF had to cut off student admission some 45 mins prior to kickoff as 12,000 students were already inside....and some 6,000 other students with "reserved" tix (but not guaranteed admission) were turned away.

UCF only scored 14 pts in 2nd half (48-0 at half) when UCF ran the ball a bunch of 2nd/3rd and even 4th teamers...just to get game over with.

Part of that was on FAMU. They were really bad. Their qb had a lot of open throws he missed. Consequently, it was 3&outs all the way to the 4th quarter for them. They also had a ton of penalties that bailed UCF out on stalled drives.

I guess I go my answer - they did cover the spread. You gotta be crazy to bet a spread like that, but you would have won.

UCF has the most dominant win so far in the conference.

While many were concerned about the crowd for a Thursday Night and some out of towners not coming in for game because of Hurricane Preperations (many sold their tix), crowd of 44,073 were there (at least for the first half...then 90% of the students and others bolted....as those CBS Sports Games are LONG....believe the first half alone lasted over 90 mins and the game lasted till 11:13 pm, 3:37 game length)
