In an all around meaningless game? yes.

I'm sure you don't want to play this game though.

NCAT needs to step up their game within FCS before even considering this.

1/3 of FCS doesn't care or attempt to win the FCS championship

Georgia State was trash before they moved up and it seemed to work out for them. TBH A&T would probably beat them now. Liberty weren't exactly world beaters before they moved up either. Neither were a bunch of other teams. Every team that moved up was not the caliber of Marshall, App, or Georgia Southern. It's never really been about competitive level anyways. If it was, App and Georgia Southern would've gotten in before Georgia State and ODU.

Marshall would be in the AAC instead of ECU. Houston wouldn't have gotten left in the G5 while Rutgers moved to the P5. NDSU is an FBS school masquerading as FCS and still no one has given them a call to move up. Let's be serious here, the lower tier FBS teams are no different than FCS anyways.

I’d be offended, but we aren’t a lower tier FBS team.

Georgia State still beat a good Kennesaw State team last year, even though they went 2-10. A&T's FBS wins include a 3-9 Kent State, a 1-11 Charlotte, and a 3-9 ECU.

An article the WSJ App beat writer posted on twitter from another paper about NC A&T, their ambition, and interviews with ADs from a few schools that have moved up.

Good write up. If they have a good plan on getting to R1 and expand their budget a little I’d be all for them. Better option than whatever Missouri school that keeps being mentioned, or EKU imo

A&T is having their Homecoming this week. Certainly not a bad thing for my town's economy.

I think it's great that an HBCU is shooting for FBS. A&T football is great, and their games are awesome experiences. Not to mention they have the best homecoming in the country.

RE: North Carolina A&T
I posted this on the main conf realignment board talking about how MCAT could go the Liberty route and start out Indy

Quote:Their schedule could look like this

1. NC Central - FCS (Homecoming)
2. SC State/TnSt/FAMU - FCS Rotation
3. UMass/UConn (if can't work out a yearly deal each, maybe rotate the two)
4. Liberty
5. NMSU
6. UNCC/ODU/MTSU - rotation
7. CCU/App on rotation
8. GaSo/GaSt on ratation
9. ACC - Payday Game #1
10. SEC - Payday game #2
11. MAC home-home
12 MWC/AAC rotation

Work with ESPN for ESPN+ deal and access to the ESPN Bowl Pool as Myrtle Beach, Cure Bowl, and Camellia Bowl would be super easy for their fans to travel to.

I’d welcome NCA&T in the INDY ranks. They are right down the road from Liberty and travel well. They have had more success than Liberty in the FCS and being an HBCU would do them wonders in the FBS with recruiting.

It would be even better if all of the Sun Belt football playing schools actually played football. 03-banghead

As a Coastal fan, I apologize. It hurts us more than it hurts you, trust me.
