And Cuse lost to Clemson at Clemson by a couple pts. And Clemson killed Bama at a neutral location...so in AAC logic Bama would finish 3rd in the ACC

The problem runs both ways. I honestly think sample size is too small in CFB to just blindly compare results.

Maybe a few AAC teams are better than the ACC sans Clemson. The flip slide is taking UCF out and asking if the balance is that much better than the MW.

I think comparing conferences should entail going down the line and comparing tops vs tops, midtable vs midtable, and dregs vs dregs.

Clemson playing Bama is their super bowl

UCF playing Pitt is like.... UConn... its a meh game that's on the schedule, no one really gets excited. (I'm surprised the players didn't come out flat against a boring opponent)

Check out the tv numbers, it was a complete dud

Opponent: Viewers (Date)
UCF vs LSU: 8,471,000 (1/1/2019) - Fiesta Bowl
UCF vs Memphis: 3,321,000 (12/1/2018) - American Championship
UCF vs Cincinnati: 3,124,000 (11/17/2018)
UCF @ Memphis: 2,990,000 (10/13/2018)
UCF @ South Florida: 1,718,000 (11/23/2018)
UCF vs FAU: 1,295,000 (9/21/2018)
UCF vs Temple: 1,180,000 (11/1/2018)
UCF @ ECU: 486,000 (10/20/2018)
UCF @ UConn: 444,000 (8/30/2018)
UCF vs Navy: 385,000 (11/10/2018)
UCF vs Pitt: 246,000 (9/29/2018)

Come on man. If you play this game, you have to include more data points. There are less of them (less schedule overlap between SEC-ACC than ACC-AAC)

Bama destroyed Louisville - But so did the rest of the ACC
Bama beat Georgia - Georgia beat Georgia Tech
Bama beat Texas A&M - Texas A&M destroyed NC State
Bama beat LSU - LSU beat Miami

You are close though. Bama would finish 2nd in the ACC.

That was Trevor Lawrence first start and was knocked out in the second quarter. In comes what would’ve been a third sting QB if Kelly Bryant had not left. Not exactly a fair assessment.

Hey man, just keeping it real here in the AAC

04-cheers All good...just like to debate. Football can't get here soon enough. One week from Saturday we get served a few appetizers.

I have no real take on Florida/Miami. Going to just watch either team could be pretty good this year but not sure either are more than 8-9 win teams.
I don't like UF or Miami but I hate Miami less, so go Canes. I can't wait for the season to start, only one more Saturday with no CFB! 04-cheers

Speaking of that game. Doesn't anyone else find it mighty odd that as the year after a certain team in Orlando goes 25-1 the "blue-bloods" make the decision to play a game there.
Well, it's halfway between them, but it's definitely a desperate attempt to regain the Orlando market that UCF took over.
