5-7 with wins over Missouri St., FIU, Army, Navy, UConn. Really I think it’s a tough schedule with only Missouri St. and probably UConn as an automatic win. Sneak in a 6th win some where and you’ve earned that bowl trip the hard way.

I thought last year would be their breakout, and I guess I wasn't too far off. That's a ridiculous schedule, it's like they're trying to only challenge the best teams from CUSA (which, as a UAB fan, I appreciate and commend).

I am also confused so few are taking us over Memphis. Y'all had issues stopping the run last year.

I guess that's home field talking.

So few? Looks like you're the only vote, lol. We were favored and got beat last year in the rain. That was your first win in 12 tries.

One win does not make a trend. We have most of our team back, especially on D, with a new DC, and we're playing at home.

We are currently a solid favorite, and favored to win the West, so I am confused why you think anybody should vote for Tulane.

Tulane is difficult to pick.

I'm not keen on betting against Willie Fritz too much longer and Tulane has rising talent.

They will win the games they are supposed to and pull an upset against a team they weren't supposed to.

7-5.

If it is of any encouragment, just last year SU was picked to finish 6th or 7th in their own division and finished seasons with 10 wins. I also remember the early years of Duke with David Cutcliffe. 2011 was something like his 3rd or 4th year and many of us were thinking that 2011 was the breakout year. We were just 1 year off, 2012 they went 6-6 made a bowl game, 2013 they won 10 and made to the ACCCG.

So if it rains who are you picking this year? Also what games will Memphis lose to the rain his year?

You lost last year because your defense was its normal below average and your O-line couldn't protect White. Protect White this year and Memphis will score more points against Tulane. Did the rain prevent your o-line from protecting white? I really don't get the rain thing. I have heard it several times before.

Raindrops only fall on Memphis players, so it’s a valid excuse.

The main reason I don't think we win is the schedule difference. Yalls schedule sets up so nice to focus on the back half of the year and get there more or less injury free.

I got Tulane down at 6-6, although I do think 7-5 is attainable.

My concerns are the more varied offense will put more pressure on an OL that is the weak point of the team. We needed to modernize it, and hopefully it works out.
Second, I wish we'd take the Memphis approach to scheduling non-P6 teams. FIU is picked to be a C-USA contender, and Army to win double-digit games. We can win these games, but the odds are better with mid-low sunbelt teams and the benefits from winning are basically the same.

Eh, if we go 3-1 in OOC and play auburn close then we'll get some top 25 mentions. Wouldn't be the same with the mid-low g4s.

I mean it’s not like FIU was a powerhouse when Rick Dickson scheduled this deal years ago. We scheduled UAB thinking it would be an easier game after they canceled their fb program. I don’t think you can predict this stuff.
